Peebles finishes the regular season with Federal Hocking away, Fayetteville away,Manchester home, Chesapeake away and at home vs D2 Miami Trace at home. It's been a fun ,challenging year which has been a blast. Everyone always says play a tough schedule which the Indians have done this year and I feel it will pay dividends in the D4 post season. Go Indians.

Of the 3 divisions I actually think D4 will be the hardest to seed. Obviously the top 2 are locks, but as you keep moving farther down the list you have some small teams in bigger conferences like Valley, South Webster, Crooksville etc that are very dangerous. If they get seeded around the 15-16 range that means they're facing the #1 or #2 seed in the sectional... not sure the top seeds would be overly happy about that.

But again, they are the top 2 seeds for a reason so it may be irrelevant. But after New Boston and Peebles up top I actually think this tournament is wide open and it wouldn't shock me to see several double digit seeded teams reach the Convo.

I keep seeing the top 2 seeds are locks. What if Fed Hock would win against Peebles? Right now FH would be a 3 or 4 seed. Peebles has played the tougher schedule for sure. To me they look like the best D4 team in the district. New Boston is obviously talented and very good. They lost to Peebles. They are a team that could go to the final 4 or be knocked off in the early rounds. I wouldn’t be shocked either way.
Crooksville and South Webster would be a couples teams that could make a run.

The loss to Wellston is going to make it hard for Federal Hocking to argue one of the top two seeds regardless of what occurs going forward.

I'm very happy that Federal Hocking is having a great season, they deserve it after the down years they've had recently. The Peebles game will be interesting for sure. In my own personal opinion that isn't worth a grain of salt, I think Peebles is 15-20+ points better than Federal Hocking. I see a big, big gap after the top two teams and the next few. But I've been wrong many times before so Fed Hock might surprise me!

I’m just creating conversation is all. I just wonder if a win over Peebles would outweigh a loss to Wellston on the road. I agree it’s a terrible loss. I’m not sure if Peebles is 15-20 points better than FH or not....we will find out Saturday. Not D4 but how will the Gallia loss affect Fairland in the seeding? That’s a really bad loss too. I was playing Devils advocate to see if it impacts seeding. FH beats Peebles, Peebles beat NB, let’s say NB loses another game, say Minford? The board has been pretty slow so I’m just trying to get it going. That being said I think Peebles is the favorite on Saturday and for the district. It will be the best opponent the Lancers have faced. I’m looking forward to the test!

I've had this match up with Federal Hocking Saturday on my radar since last year. I loved the lancer reserve team and the players coming back from varsity. Peebles returning Juniors and the players we had on our reserves then ,made me think back then that this match up would be relevent this year. Will be a great matchup this weekend. Many People neglect the Reserves as next year's players. This late in the season ,next year's players are relevent. Fun times.

They started 4 sophomores last year and returned every player. I expect it to be a good competitive game. We have a big one Friday night at Southern so I hope they aren’t looking ahead!

Yeah, we had 9 sophmores last year on reserves and varsity. I could see them competing for a few years.

I think they schedule them in 2 year cycles with a home and home. Hopefully it gets renewed for the next year.

Eastern and North Adams are D3. Yes Eastern lit it up early and are playing very good defense. North Adams never tried to get it to McCormick. Thanks for the update.

I'm thinking final at Stewart was Peebles 63- Federal Hocking 41.Peebles won the reserves as well ,not sure of final. Fun trip to a great place to play. Lancers have a nice team. They will be a tough out come tournament time.

Jeeps get their 3rd straight and 4-1 in the last 5 games over the Clay Panthers tonight 60-45. Bockway went for 14 in the 4th quarter. 21 total. Ruth and Zimmerman 10 each. Good scoring and ball movement tonight.
Score was 37-34 after 3 Jeeps.
Webster 23 Clay 11 in the 4th when it counted

7-11 overall. Streak 3

Got to meet Hoopie74 and Pfloyd was in the house. My kind of people! The game, Lancers played well for the first 12 minutes. Peebles forced their will on the Lancers and changed the game. I believe Peebles is the best team in the district and I love the way they play. They are loaded. Browning is the best point guard we have seen. I hope this is a valuable learning experience for the Lancers. They see what it takes to get to the next level. Peebles coach is top shelf as well. First time I’ve seen a coach shake hands with everyone at the scorers table. He had us scouted and had notes on each starter for FH. I seen the notes! I was impressed. Good luck to Peebles the rest of the way!
