Caleb Wallis....Jackson 1000 Points

Post by Ironman92 »

Ed Spriggs, Brad Howe, Cooper Donaldson, Allen Collins, Matt Walburn.....

Now Caleb Wallis has joined the club while guiding the Jackson Ironmen to a historic season. Wallis has 487 points this season through 21 games to run down the big milestone. Impressive considering he was a 5’0 freshman and mostly JV, sophomore was just 5’3 and had 3 good scoring guards on the floor that it was his job to feed. Last year was about 14.2 ppg alongside teammate Cooper Donaldson as he surpassed 1,000.

I don’t think he’s anywhere near done.

Congrats kid. Love watching how you go about it.

Glad I was in the Cheap Seats to see this milestone for Caleb Wallis tonight ... got to 22 points tonight to join the 1000 Point Club vs one of the best defensive teams and vs one of the best defenders in the SE district - Vincent Roper ... wasn't sure CW was going to get there as he took bad fall in transition, falling awkwardly and bouncing his head off the court in the process ... CW's durability is unsurpassed , as I have seen him take a beating for 4 years ... as I92 pointed out CW is so much more than "a scorer" of the ball - Caleb IS a true PG - has a complete game - penetrates, handles the ball, breaks down pressure, leads by example, fearless, defends with the best of them ... Congratulations Caleb Wallis - to do everything that you DO AND get to the 1000 point mark for your career - outstanding ... yeh, I'm a fan of CW - congrats - pfloyd

Couldn’t have said it better when describing CW. He’s more than just a scorer and when comparing him to any other PG in the SE district nobody does it better. And by “it” I mean everything. Sure there are players who can score better, players who defend better but nobody has the complete package like Caleb at the level he does it. Also Proud of him for his recent milestone!

First of all, big congrats To Caleb. Huge accomplishment. He has become a tremendous player. His development has been unreal considering some of the "talent" on that coaching staff.

Secondly, I seen the video of the bucket on Twitter. Why was the game not stopped? This is normally the common practice. Just curious as to why it wasn't last night.

It was discussed and it was good as it was done. Big game, on the road....and honestly, I’m not sure he knew until he was at 995 or 998. It was kept very tight and only a handful of people knew he was possibly within a game of it. Scoring 22 on Roper is pretty incredible....we’ll celebrate and honor tonight.

Crabs brother,
The coaches wanted to stop it after a dead ball. Both crowds, coaches and players stood and clapped for him. It was nice to see the sportsmanship from both sides.

The sportsmanship was shown when he went down. After several minutes down the Chillicothe kids came and checked on him and wished him well.

When I seen the crew I knew that it was done correctly.

Congratulations to Caleb Wallis on that special milestone. 1,000 points takes dedication, durability, and consistency.

Thought he was a nice player as a freshman, people said he was too small tho. I guess small equals 500 plus points in a season these days. Job well done, keep being small.
