I agree, unless your team has some kids that are injured, then you probably would like to have 2 weeks between games. I would think 4-5 days would be plenty, of course we are looking at it from a fans perspective also.
Just a weird situation that these guys play either T/Fr, or Fri/Sat, or sometimes T/Fri/Sat, almost always twice a week. Gets to this time and it's once a week, or longer. Let's play!

That’s what happens when you start your tournament a week ahead of everyone else.

I get that, just not sure why D2 started as early as it did. Go Dogs!

Combination of this is SE Ohio and we need a little room in there in case of a postponement or two and then Convo availability. We'll take the dates the Convo is available and thankful that Ohio makes it available to the district at a rate that all parties can make work.

Back in 1997 our football team went to Cambridge for the regional round of the playoffs. Jackson brought 5000 fans, 200 band members and we faced Youngstown East who had 50 fans and 11 kids in the band

They scored with 50 seconds left and beat us

So there’s hope for Athens in this game

In 2012 we showed up to Upper Arlington and packed the home stands.
Thurgood Marshall had a total of about 9 fans I think.
Then they kicked our ass 60-21.

Logan Elm played them in the first round after barely making the playoffs at 6-4. Cold night where we knew Logan Elm was going to get clocked in Welcome Stadium. Logan Elm had 300 fans and Thurgood Marshall had maybe 100 fans. Very spacious in a 10,000 seat stadium.

The two schools played a few years earlier in the state tournament. We brought the county with us and they had 200 fans. Up by double figures in the fourth quarter, they hit a three with five seconds left to force OT and Logan Elm loses it.
