Logan Elm (18-7) vs. Warren (16-9), D2 district final

Post by bman »

Should be a good game between two of the top programs in Division II. A surprising meeting in a district final, considering they entered the tournament as the seventh and eighth seed.

Warren's length gives me some concern coming into the matchup. We'll see how it goes. Looking forward to a great game in Basketball :30.

Good luck to both teams.

If Warren can use their length advantage good enough and shoot well they can pull this out. Don’t think they can match up with all LE guards they throw on the court.

I feel Logan Elm 60-50 but Warren can win this game too.

Good Luck to both and congrats on great tournament runs

Maddox vs Stiverson.

Gonna be fun.

Give me Warren by 2. Just a hunch.

... who'd a thunk it ? ... Logan Elm vs Warren ... #7 seed vs #8 seed ... BOTH (before this season's Super Sectional) Logan Sectional teams (usually) ... so is THIS a combo Logan Sectional ... SE D2 District Final ? ... 2 teams who KNOW each other from years past ... 2 coaches who KNOW each other literally and figuratively from years past ... two 300 win head coaches in Coaches Maddox & Stiverson ... it's NOT the matchup "I" had when I filled out my pairing sheet prior to the post season getting underway BUT "it 'll do" !!! just fine ... as bman posted it will be a good one !!! 2 of the best basketball "programs" Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... Thursday night ... 7pm ... looking forward to being in the Cheap Seats for this one !!!

Will Warren man them up? I imagine Maddox will run a variety of defenses on them.

Hard to keep in front of you but if get by make them finish. Be long and don’t foul. Warren has to try and create some mismatches.

Both teams are rolling. I think LE is the better team.

If Logan Elm continues to play like it has, I like its chances. Warren will throw some different looks at Logan Elm and they will play better defensively than what Athens did. Like I said earlier, Warren's length is concerning, especially if LE goes through a dry patch shooting wise.

Two of the best coaches in Division II and this will be their third meeting in a district final in the last 11 years.

Hopefully Barlow will be running the scoreboard so he doesn’t whine that Athens is out to get Warren

Can anybody answer my ticket question? Does a child under 2 require one?

Haven’t been able to catch warren as many times as I’d like this year but if we can keep this game low scoring I like our chances, did these two have any common opponents this year?

Fairfield Union beat LE twice in the regular season, once by a lot and the second meeting was very close game in the second half.

Common opponents are basically out the window. Neither team was supposed to be here. Should be a good one

Guard play of Logan Elm will be too much for Warren, Logan Elm by 15.
