10th Annual Caldwell Redskin Varsity Boys' Basketball Shoot-Out

With the health department shutting down all school facilities through June, we will attempt to hold our shoot-out on Saturday July 11th if possible. Hoping for things to get back to normal soon. -Clint


The Caldwell boys basketball program will hold their 10th annual varsity boys shoot-out on Saturday July 11th, 2020. Entry will be limited to the first 12 teams entered. Teams are guaranteed 4 pool play games and a single elimination tournament. Play will begin at 9:00 and wrap up around 4:00. Caldwell is located 20 minutes north of Marietta and 20 minutes south of Cambridge on I-77. Cost of the shoot-out is $200 per team with checks made payable to: Caldwell Athletic Boosters. Assuming life will be back to normal and June basketball will take place. A handful of regular participants entered prior to the "lockdown." Please contact me asap and claim your spot. We have expanded each year we've held this with great success. We took 15 team last year which is the max we can accommodate. Hope everyone is managing this situation as well as you can. In anticipation that we will be allowed to resume contact in July, we have moved our varsity boys basketball shoot-out to Saturday July 11th. I will limit the field to the first 12 teams registered. Teams are guaranteed 4 pool play games and a single elimination tournament for $200. Field has been finalized pending approval from OHSAA for Saturday July 11th. We currently have 14 teams fully committed and 4 more committed pending the ok from their school districts. Here's to hoping we get a long day of basketball in next month.

Due to a non-basketball staff member contracting COVID we have had all athletic contact and training suspended until Mid-July. That effectively has forced us to cancel the shootout for the first time in a decade. Extremely disappointed to say the least.
