I 92’s Random Thoughts and Rankings

Welcome everyone! We’ll have to wait a bit on Pfloyd for his in depth (and controversial lol) rankings. I thought I would roll out some rankings and some extras...feel free to add your own and enjoy.

1. Logan Elm
2. Fairland

These teams are great. Clayton Thomas may be the most interesting player to watch during a game.

3. Warren Local
4. Wheelersburg
5. Waverly

Sounds like each player and cheerleader will get two tickets per game...will referees get two tickets as well?

6. Sheridan
7. Jackson
8. Fairfield Union

Cost of parking at Jackson this year.... $0, but suckers will cost $14 at concession stand for you clever folks who think you can get out of wearing your mask.

Teams moving up: (9)Unioto (up a little), (15)Hillsboro Basketball Team, Gallia Academy (26) (43)Paint Valley,(49) Southeastern,

Teams dropping a bit: (31)McClain (Unioto wasn’t very welcoming, must not have known that much of McClain district is also in Ross Co, (42)Marietta, (52)Oak Hill, (54)Western.

Teams to watch: (21)Athens (apparently point guard Matters), (34) South Gallia

Other thoughts:

Trey Robertson is 5’11? Yikes

Pray for Peebles

Whiteoak is ONE word (I don’t know why)

No Fairfield Union is NOT the Colonel Knights

The Bears offense sucks

Wondering if there will be fewer ejections due to way less fans or more ejections due to way less fan noise to muffle the louder folks like mlittle and myself?

Why didn’t they just let the actual guys singing those Milli Vanilli songs keep doing what they do?

We win a few games I’m not sure how we don’t move up. Especially over teams that haven’t played.

I will say i struggle keeping quiet with the smaller crowds but the positive is the mask actually help because the officials have no clue where the yelling is coming from.

I don’t like that gym...and not because my team is 0 and eleventy there....though oddly enough our only league title in the last 43 year (so sad lol) came on a 15 ft jumper at Warren (that gym was there in 1991 wasn’t it?)

Unioto’s has been the same gym since 73 and now somehow feels full with the 180 people allowed in it. Can’t imagine how they actually ran tournament games in it in the 80’s.

I was there for a BIG girls game about 7 years ago and it was their senior night....I think they are still there thanking their mail carrier, step 3rd cousin Melinda and their favorite Bob Evans waitress. During the ceremony our top 3 players all picked up 2 fouls each.
