Cleland can matchup with Whiting I think.
If game is allowed to be physical Athens may be in trouble.

It was very physical, but the Dogs prevailed. Whiting fouled out with 34 points and still 4:10 left to play.

I had THREE players for Meigs with double-doubles. That's almost unheard of.

Cleland 16 pts/11 reb
Hoover 13 pts/10 reb
Dodson 10 pts/13 reb ... I may have gave him an extra one for the awesome mullet, but still a double-double none the less.

Was definitely very physical. I'm guessing of those 34 combined rebounds from the Meigs players, over half were on the offensive glass. Dogs gave up WAY too many 2nd, 3rd and 4th chance points. Almost came back to bite them in the ass. Whiting was on fire tonight, and Matters, Harris and Welsh hit FT's to seal the deal in the end.

I thought Meigs had some epically outstanding class coming through? They are awful at everything, is it all because the long snapper’s family left? Geesh

They are still kind of young. Only Wyatt Hoover is a senior that plays and contributes - and I thought their JV team was pretty good. Harrison, only a freshmen, played the entire game scoring 15 in the varsity contest. Cleland is a tremendous athlete, only a junior. Dodson is a junior, recorded a double-double.

They had 4 stud players back in jr high...big strong kids. 2 never really grew anymore and I believe still play and contribute to the sports teams. The one doing well in Pennsylvania and of course Cleland is doing what most thought he would in football and basketball. That group was excellent but no depth. In youth years their 5 starter was the talented girl that is now a junior in their basketball team.
