2021 Southeast District -- Mock Seeding (Div II, III & IV) & Brackets -- Week #9

Post by Tri-StateYouthSports »

All Southeast District mock seeding is based on Pfloyd's Elite 8 current rankings (Week #9).

+/- to the left of the seeding indicates movement in seeding based on changes from Week #8 to Week #9 rankings.

FYI - higher seed host through District Semi's unless higher seed doesn't allow fans, then lower seed will host.

# of tickets are split evenly between the 2 schools.
Sectional & Districts - $10/ticket
Regionals - $12/ticket
State - $15/ticket

OHSAA wrote:Hosts must ensure that the event is not the same as a regular home contest at your school. That means all OHSAA tournament
regulations must be followed, and, besides splitting tickets evenly between both schools as previously mentioned, the contest
shall be considered neutral for both schools. This also means that public address announcers shall be professional and
unbiased.
 Yeah, right.

Probably after the one coach seeds Jackson #13

I think it’ll be tougher getting coaches to side this year as there isn’t a clear path at all. I suppose some dumb Coach might want LE because they don’t have height and seeds could work out to screw over a few teams but got to imagine MT and Boro coaches will side with Morrow. Will be a lot of messaging.

Any coach who picks to play LE deserves what they get

It’ll happen. Won’t be a good coach but it will happen

Obviously won't happen, but I would love to see them schedule several games at different times, like district semis/finals at the convo. Would be cool to still spend a day watching back to back to back games even if it's just being streamed

biggest question i have is how are the coaches going to seed due to lack of equal games?

Does a 9-3 Fairland Team get bumped down over a 16-1 EB team even though fairland won the head to head? or even bumped below a 15-2 Adena?
Does a 12-3 Unioto team jump a 9-3 Waverly and 8-2 Jackson team?
What about a team like Peebles? only at 3-3 but would've likely had a lot better record had they played more games?

Going to be interesting to see how much stock is being put into the total number of games that have been played compared to the actual record.

Yea it’s gonna be a mess. But I’ll take it over not playing. Coaches just gonna have to work it out. Won’t be any different than years past in the sense there will always be teams who think they should’ve been here or there and coaches lobbying for certain spots. In D2 it honestly doesn’t matter to me. The road to a district title is going through LE or Warren and both sides of the bracket will be a bitch

I think Peebles and Whiteoak should be higher in the seeding. WO a 5 see and Peebles a 7 seed at least.

Thx. I thought so. Wish more was on the girls side of basketball this year. Nothing about tournament.

I'd almost welcome Fed dropping to the 4 line to avoid an all TVC district championship. It would guarantee a team (if it played out that way) in the regionals, but I think I'd take my chances of possibly getting two from the Hocking.
