This must've been a heckuva game to watch. Wish there was a way to see replays or highlights?

gotta root for the public schools. Does Meadowbrook have a puncher's chance against DeSales?

They are giving up a ton of size. Meadowbrook has two 6-3 kids who are more lean than large and long guards going against three legit bigs 6'5 plus with massive wingspan. They will have to be patient and have a way better shooting night than they had against Warren. Warren probably matched up better with Desales but Meadowbrook can stall you and kill you from outside. Lol, If we put the two teams together we make a run at St V. Desales has to be a big favorite though in all honesty.

Meadowbrook will be the underdog, but unioto showed that Desales is beatable. Big task, everyone has been bigger then meadowbrook all year. Good luck to all East/southeast teams left in the tournament

Absolutely DeSales is beatable. Ready beat them and Waverly traveled to Ready and beat them.

From Marietta Times:

Warren had taken a one-point lead with 11 seconds to play in overtime when senior Seth Dennis connected on a three-pointer and with neither team having any time outs left, the Colts inbounded the ball to Singleton who quickly pushed the ball up the court.

Singleton tried to dribble around Warren defender Dennis Pettey who appeared to knock the ball off of Singleton’s leg and out of bounds only to be whistled for a foul with eight seconds left on the clock.

The call infuriated Warren head coach Blane Maddox as it was made by the official who was well behind the play while the official directly in front of the play chose not to blow his whistle.

“We played our hearts out and it really feels like we deserved that win,” said Maddox, whose team was whistled for 10 second half fouls compared to five for Meadowbrook. “We played well, we played hard, we never quit, we played to the end… you just don’t take the game away, you let the kids decide it.”

Singleton came up huge in the clutch as he calmly knocked down both free throws leaving the Warriors with just eight seconds to move the ball the length of the court to try and come up with the game winning shot.

Dennis pushed the ball towards half court before finding junior Brayden Sallee near the elbow who tried to make a move towards the bucket but was called for traveling with just under two seconds left on the clock.

“That’s the most heart-breaking loss I think I’ve ever been a part of,” said Maddox. “We battled to the end and I’m so proud of them and the great season that we had.”

To me, too many missed bunnies earlier in the game, too many missed FTs late in the game, and a travelling call very late, cost Warren what would have been a well earned win. Great game to watch!
