Boobs and beer are the only 2 things better than a packed high school gymnasium

My bad. I’ll fix it in the original post, at least I had it right on the website I guess

Did Huntington really lose to West Union by 24 points or is the Highland Co Press website wrong?

Very wrong. You should trust my site instead

I tried to insert an emoji and it kept moving it to the top, so just know that I was joking and not being a complete jerky-jerkface

I’ve seen the West Union known scores…at no point did I believe West Union beat Huntington by 24

Piketon 56, Huntington 53
Paint Valley 62, Adena 35

5 teams hanging in the league race within 1 game of the leaders.

Think the league title will be between Unioto and ZT. ZT has the highest ceiling and should win it, if the can continue to build off play this weekend. Paint Valley, Westfall, and Piketon will be right there to knock someone off. Westfall is better than expected and play hard.

To me ZT passes the eye test as the best team, most talented team. Can they beat Unioto the second round? PV has a lot of talent and should be better than their record.

Zane Trace has the most overall talent by far even though they about .500 over the last two seasons.
Westfall has the best "team" that plays together.

As expected Unioto and ZT will be going into the second half of league play heading the standings with one loss. The winner of their second matchup will more than likely determine the champ. Unioto though is most susceptible to getting knocked off by another league team as we witnessed in the Westfall matchup. We have to remember Unioto only have two players that play a lot of minutes that’s been through the championship run grind of the second part of the season, could play a factor in the end. ZT seems more solid in their matchups with all the other league foes, and to me doesn’t run such a high risk of getting bit by another team other than Unioto knocking them off. I still feel Branson is the difference maker between these two teams.
Surprised by the log jam at the halfway point that will determine spots 3-5 in the SVC. Westfall and Piketon has performed better than expected and have positioned themselves nicely to make some noise as who does end up winning the title. Westfall already has done this by giving ZT a big help and defeating the Sherman’s already. Piketon has shown the ability to win on any given night, just feel their guard play as we come down the stretch will let them down and end up putting them in 5th place. PV been very inconsistent night in and night out, many Bearcat fans didn’t see this team being.500 at this point. Still a long way to go, but need their two big players to put up big numbers together to make a serious run. Seems only one player per game performs and fills the stat sheet.
The bottom tier is with the three teams that going into the season was looked at to take these spots. SE gave a glimpse at the beginning of the year of being the most solid of these teams, but seems to have hit a wall over the past couple weeks. Adena, returning virtually nobody from last season picked up a league win and looking to be more competitive in the second half of SVC play, as these players now have a half season of experience under their belt. Huntington even with a new coach equals same results. The only team that is winless in league play. Interesting to see how things shake out in the bottom tier, as I believe Huntington will get one during the second round, maybe even beating both Adena and SE. These three teams will beat up on each other, just don’t see them being able to gather a win against the rest of the league.
Final standings prediction:
1. Unioto/ZT - 12-2
3. Westfall - 10-4
4. PV/Piketon - 9-5
6. SE/Huntington - 2-12
8. Adena - 1-13

Nice breakdown. Can't argue with anything you said.
Who do you see winning a sectional? Going the farthest?
