Game one for the Tigers, a 67-29 win over the visiting Mohawks of Northwest High School.
Waverly jumped out to a 13-0 lead before Northwest called timeout with 3:43 in the quarter. Waverly lead 19-3 after one.
The Tigers took a 36-13 lead into the locker room. Trey Robertson with 13 at the break, Morrison with 7 off the bench.
After a running clock started in the 3rd Waverly lead 55-21 at the end of three, Trey Robertson with three 3’s and an old fashion 3 in the period.
Tigers with 12 points in the 4th, subbing out starters.

Trey Robertson 28 points
Will Futhey 16 points
Penn Morrison 7 points
Mark Stulley 5 points
Hudson Kelly 5 points
Wade Futhey 4 points
Bray Robertson 2 points

I don’t keep track of assists and rebounds but I’m sure there were some nice stats there.

Tigers travel to Minford Friday night and then to SSU Saturday at 4:00 to take on Vision Prep out of Lexington Kentucky.
Anyone have any info on Vision Prep? I looked but couldn't find anything.
That’s a good question, I’d love to know as well.
I mean there is nothing on the web. No Twitter or Facebook that I could find. If that is the actual name of the school.

There is a Vision Prep Academy in Lexington that was started in 2016 and then they changed their name to Vision CBC (Collegiate Basketball Club) this year. They play mostly JUCO's, NAIA schools some D3 JV teams, and a few National Prep HIgh School teams. They are a true Preparatory program with all athletes being post graduates. If this is indeed the team Waverly is playing it's gonna be a tough matchup. A large portion of their roster seems to always be overseas players.

Looks like the team may be more local this season here is a link to a little bit of information.

Believe this is their Facebook page.
They do indeed have a club team but I’m not sure that is who Waverly is playing. It seems like they also have a HS Varsity team, made up of players from different schools? Idk, just trying to piece things together based off their Facebook/Twitter page.

Either way, it is going to be a different type of team that Waverly is used to facing. Could be a good test for them if they are as good as they sound they could be. We shall see.

I watched about 10 minutes of game film off that facebook page. They didn't score and never ran a single offensive set in those 10 minutes. Look to have a few good athletes but very undisciplined and turned the ball over a lot.

I haven’t got a chance to watch any of it yet. But that isn’t shocking. Teams like that could either be extremely good or like you stated, undisciplined and not good at team ball, similar to an aau team. An odd matchup for the Tigers, I know Coach Robertson has beefed up the non league schedule so I’m sure when this was scheduled he was hoping to get a tough game. But not sure how that will work out, they seem to me like a group of athletes thrown together.

Not sure how this one played out. The first opponent I saw listed for the Tigers was Chillicothe and then a team from West Va and now this one.

Waverly with a nice second half to defeat Hurricane 69-59.
Leading scorers for the Tigers were Trey Robertson with 26, Will Futhey with 17 on the inside and Hudson Kelly with 13 big points.

Tigers enjoy some time off for Christmas and get ready for Upper Arlington coming to the Downtown Arena for the SOCS Wireless Classic.

Games all day - 1 ticket gets you all games.

Looks like if things have been playing out like they have been with Trey getting roughly 25 ppg, he is on pace to break that record @ Wheelersburg this Saturday..

If he wants to break it at home, he better put on a clinic tomorrow and Friday lol

Trey is one of the hardest working kids in all of Southern Ohio! Very awesome to see something like this taking place

I’m hearing the Oak Hill game Friday is postponed. Oak Hill postponed all games this week.

Trey Robertson with 26 against Valley tonight in a 65-54 win for 1,663 career points.

Robertson needs 3 points Friday night at home against Wheelersburg to become Waverly’s all time leading scorer.

So obviously Trey becomes the all time leading scorer on Friday. Next up is the race for 2,000 career points. He is currently 337 points shy of 2,000. Assuming the Oak Hill game is rescheduled there are 11 regular season games remaining. He would need 30.7 ppg to reach 2k in the regular season. 28.1 ppg with the guaranteed 1 tournament game. 26 ppg with 2 tournament games. 24.1 ppg with 3 tournament games. For the tigers to make it further than that he probably has to score at that clip so any deeper tournament run and I think he makes it to 2000. Will be fun to watch him try anyway.

Yep, let’s hope all the regular season games get played and the Tigers win a District and even a Regional.
A trip to the Final Four with a 2,000 point scorer would be a season for the books.

Trey Robertson with 5:50 of the first and trailing the Pirates 0-5 hits a three to become the All Time Leading Scorer with 1,666 career points.
Jake Kretzer (1,665 points) was on hand to present Robertson the game ball.
Trey finished the night with 11 points and 9 assists in the 54-46 win over the Pirates.

Trey now sits at 1,674 career points.
