Is that Bretts boy? How tall is he? If it’s bretts boy, Brett was 6’9 and played at Morehead St was drafted in baseball and basketball
Yes. He looks to be at least 6'6" already and doesn't look to be done growing. I'd think 6'9" to 6'10" is very possible. He is a special talent.
bbjunky: if Roberts gets to 6'9"-6'10", Webster going to be hosting plenty of HIGH major D1 coaches over next few years! I haven't seen anything like his skillset at Webster since back when his dad played. Aldridge would also be in the conversation, but his game was more based on a physical, inside-out style. Roberts' handle and shooting is just different for a kid his size and he will only get harder to guard as he matures physcially.*

Just the dunking pic alone he looks bigger than he did this summer.

Roberts is gonna be fun to watch over the next 4 years i played against his father and he was a handful but honestly should he transfer to a bigger school like a basketball powerhouse so he could play against better competition? And have a better chance of making it to the highest level? Just a thought?

Webster has sent multiple basketball players to D1 schools and I’m sure he has plenty of connections to get eyes on him.

Man let the kid grow. Is he 15 yet? Dad didn’t play any competition and he led nation in scoring and was drafted by NBA.

I say stay where you are and enjoy! Lead the Jeeps then see where the road goes from there. Kid is going to have college paid for if he stays healthy.

The NBA is the ultimate down the road goal….not sure a Huntington Prep for 3 years is going to increase his chances.

Eli….have a great year kid

No need to transfer. If you’re that good, they’ll find you. Just ask Brigham Waginger, or Nick Aldridge, or Austin Loop.

If he were a kid who would be drafted in the first round after a year at Duke/Kansas/OSU type of school….I could side more with the big time prep school…..if he’s looking to be a major program recruit but not an all-American type as a freshman but instead a 4 year guy, well that level typically doesn’t make it in the NBA. Right now it’s just flat out too early to put such lofty future projections into play.

BJ Mullens type is very high end of the projected spectrum…let’s give it a couple years. In the meantime….Jeep’s are going to be a tough tough out in D4 this tourney season!

That was fun to watch.
LD, so the Jeeps deserve the #8 Preseason Elite 8 ranking?
I’m not sure how they stack up vs The Rest of The District so to be honest I’m not sure. But Saturday Night at least for the first night they were much better defensively and on the boards than they have been the last few years. 3 seniors 1 junior and Roberts are going to be an interesting group to watch. All 5 can shoot it from behind the Arc and we are bigger and more physical than we have been in a while.

His passing is the best I have seen. In the Jr. high games I saw last year he had a uncanny ability to find an open man and get him the ball. Amazing b

That for the info. Sorry didn’t see it sooner but I got it. Many things going on and had to take break. I remember Brett playing as a youngster was dominating every mens sports he played. I knew one guy that was his catcher and he said all we need is one run to win, only if they had another ace pitcher might had a State in baseball too!! To win a State baseball championship you need two aces on one team. Also basketball stud went to morehead st had a 50 point game was drafted by Chicago I belief and Milwaukee in baseball. Went baseball I belief for 6 years, it’s been many years and off on my numbers but close. I know one thing he was one of the best to come out of scioto county he should be one the wall with Oliver, tenace, hustle, gullet etc!!! I could text or type forever on Brett but most and best thing was he was raised right and a good young man back in the late 80’-early 90’s. Represented our area the best possible

Drafted by Sacramento in basketball and the the Twins in baseball. Led NCAA in scoring at Morehead. Good times.
