Northwest High School will host the 2021 boys basketball preview on Friday, November 19, 2021. Please find below the times of the following games:

5:00pm South Webster vs. Sciotoville
5:40pm Northwest vs. Western
6:20pm Eastern vs. South Gallia
7:00pm Oak Hill vs. Green
7:40pm Valley vs. Clay
8:20pm Waverly vs New Boston Glenwood
9:00pm West vs. Ironton St. Joe
9:40pm Minford vs. Symmes Valley

The team listed first is the home team.

***After the first game, all times are approximate, please be present at least 30 minutes prior to your contest starting. All fans should park in the parking lot between the high school and middle school. The side of the building nearest Rt. 348 is for team entrance only!.

Not really any matchups that catch the eye.... previews or not

South Webster will win easily

Western should beat Northwest especially if Lintz is out

Glad to see South Gallia in the league! They can knock off Eastern

Green over Oak Hill but probably close. Green will be improved with the 2 Mcbee's on the team.

Valley huge over Clay... going to be a tough season for the Panthers

Waverly big over New Boston

Minford and St. Joe looks decent. St. Joe had a move in who helps. Minford should still win.

West big over Symmes



No Wheelersburg because of their football team in Regional Final.... I'm kind of curious how Previews will work starting next year though. 8 teams in SOC 1 vs. 9 teams in SOC 2. Someone is going to have to double up or perhaps play their JV team.

How will the previews work playing time wise? Will they just play 2 quarters for each game or how is it set up?

I recall Webster putting in their JV team at previews a couple years ago I think they played Symmes Valley

Is South Gallia in the league this year already? Also, we might have a tough a season this year at Clay but this young group plays hard and might surprise some teams. They took Green to the wire in the Summer (with the McBee boys and the other transfer playing for Green). They took a bad loss at Sciotoville in that scrimmage with two key starters not there but the scrimmage at Clay in the Summer against East, Clay won. Clay's coach doesn't like to show much in scrimmages and doesn't let the starters play together much in them. I don't like that but it is what it is. He's the coach, lol. Saturday they started four sophomores and a freshmen against West Union and played very well. The starters only played together one period and was dominating West Union. After that coach Blanton never had more than two starters on the floor at a time and they still competed the entire scrimmage. This year might be tough but the future looks good for Clay.

There has been a change in the schedule, West and St. Joe will now scrimmage and Minford will take on Symmes Valley.

The teams will play two quarters.

No idea how things will work next year.

No, South Gallia is not officially in the SOC yet.
