The New Boston Glenwood games with Notre Dame and Ironton St.Joe have been rescheduled.

The Tigers 4-4, 3-1 return to action this week with three games all away.

1/4 at Franklin Furnace to meet the Green Bobcats 2-6, 2-2 in SOC1

1/7 at Sciotoville to face the Tartans 2-4, 1-4 in SOC1

1/8 at Pomeroy to tangle with the Meigs County Marauders 7-4 at "the Rock"

The Green Bobcats 64
The New Boston Glenwood Tigers 57

The Tigers went into the "Furnace" and were defeated by the Bobcats.

Tigers scoring: Grady Jackson 24, Beasley 12, Voiers 11, Dalton Jackson 7, Allard 2 and Henson 1.

Bobcat scoring: Sampson 28, Gabe McBee 13, Blevins 9, Waddell 6, Abe McBee 5 and Brannigan 3.



New Boston slips to 4-5 on the season and 3-2 in league play. Green improves to 3-6 and 3-2.

The Tigers won the JV game to improve their record to 4-5.

Next up for the Tigers is Friday at Sciotoville. Sciotoville lost to Western tonight 61-23. The Bobcats are at Western on 1/7.

The New Boston Glenwood game tonight at East and tomorrow night at Meigs County have both been postponed. No makeup dates have been scheduled.

Next up for the Tigers is a home date with the Clay Panthers on 1/11.

The New Boston Glenwood game at Sciotoville scheduled for 1/7 was postponed and has been rescheduled for 2/7 at Sciotoville.

No info on whether the Meigs County game will be rescheduled.

New Boston Glenwood 68
Clay 32

The Clay Panthers entered the Den in New Boston and were defeated tonight by the Tigers. After one, it was Tigers 14-5, at the half 27-14, after three 51-25 and the final 68-32.

New Boston improves to 5-5, 4-2, tied with several schools for second place in the conference. The Panthers are 0-15, 0-9.

Scoring for New Boston: Grady Jackson 19, Allard 13, Dalton Jackson 9, Voiers 9, Beasley 8, Rivers 8 and Henson 2.

Scoring for Clay: Cayton 16, Holbrook 8, King 4, Loper and Balestra 2 each.

The Tigers host the league leading Symmes Valley Vikings 10-2, 7-1 on Friday. A game with West Union has been added to the schedule at the Coach Young Classic at North Adams High School on Saturday, honoring Coach Dave Young and official Matt Orin. NB is replacing Adams County Christian. Clay host the Green Bobcats 5-6, 4-2 on Friday.

Green defeated Sciotoville 75-33. Symmes Valley dropped Notre Dame 64-58.

No JV game was played this evening.

The Symmes Valley at New Boston Glenwood game scheduled for Friday evening has been postponed.

The New Boston Glenwood game at North Adams vs West Union has been cancelled. West Union will now play the Peebles Indians.

This shut down had nothing to do with anyone being sick in the basketball program this was a Administrative and School board decision to shut everything down until next week due to low attendance in whole district. So please quit thinking that the Tigers are not wanting to play!!!

Western Indians 69
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 29

The Tigers entered Latham tonight hoping for a competitive game and were taken down by the hot shooting and defensive minded Indians. New Boston had defeated Western earlier in the season 47-42. It was homecoming for the Indians and they did not disappoint the great home crowd. The Indians jumped out to a 16-11 lead after one and never looked back as they pushed the lead to 44-18 at the half. The third quarter was more of the same as they lead 64-22 after 3. Western had one sub in the entire game and cleared their bench with 2:54 to go with the lead at 68-29.

New Boston had played two games in 5 weeks and were not ready to resume play.

The Jv game also went to the Indians 48-32.

The Tigers, now 5-6 overall and 4-3 in league host the Coal Grove Hornets 4-7 tomorrow evening as it is Homecoming for the Tigers. Western improves to 15-2 overall and 8-2 in SOC1. Western hosts league leading Symmes Valley on 1/28. Symmes Valley has a 11-2 mark and 8-1 in SOC1.

Coal Grove Dawson Bryant Hornets 59
New Boston Glenwood Tigers 46

The Hornets spoiled the Tigers "Homecoming" tonight with victories in both the JV and Varsity contests.

In the Varsity contest, the Hornets led at all stops. It was 20-9 after one, 35-19 at the half. The Tigers rallied somewhat to take a 16-12 third quarter, which ended 47-35.

The JV contest was won by Coal Grove 59-23.

Coal Grove improves to 6-8 on the year, while New Boston slips to 5-7.

Next up for the Tigers is a home game with the Ironton St.Joe Flyers on Tuesday. The Hornets are at Chesapeake on 1/25.

The 1/25 game with Ironton St.Joe has been postponed. The Tigers will now host the Notre Dame Titans on Tuesday. Notre Dame is 6-6 overall and 4-4 in SOC1. The Tigers are 5-7 and 4-3.

The Tigers and Titans met tonight in NB's "Tiger Den" and the Titans came away with the win in both the JV and Varsity contests.

In the Varsity game, the Titans led after one at 21-12. The second quarter went to the Tigers as they outscored the Tians 21-14 to pull within two at 35-33 at the half. Notre Dame led after three at 51-39 and the final 72-44.

The JV Titans led after one at 12-10, at the half 28-12, after three 36-21 and the final 49-35.

Notre Dame improves to 7-6 overall and 5-4 in SOC1 play. New Boston is 5-8 on the year and 4-4 in league play.

The same two teams go at it down on Sunrise on Friday, 1/28.
