Athens (0-3) host Circleville in the home opener on Wensday night.

The Bulldogs are coming off of a loss at Gallia Academy but played like a completely different team than what they showcased at the Zanesville Tipoff. Athens was once again was led by Derrick Welsh who had 23 points and 9 rebounds. He went 6-8 at the FT line. Athens who has struggled to hit the 3 all year has gone (1-13 vs Gallia) and (7-37 (19%) on the season).

Circleville enters at 2-1 after wins over Vinton and Adena and a blowout loss to Bloom-Carrol.

JV tips at 6pm and Varsity at 7:30pm

Tickets are $6 at the doors and Athens still requires masks to be worn.
