Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 2

1. Waverly - thankfully got their first game in finally. Seemed like a long wait
2. Unioto - buzzer beater to beat Logan allows them to keep this spot secure.
3. ZT - picked themselves up off the mat after dropping their first couple of games and beat VC in convincing enough fashion to keep their place in the rankings.
4. Western - impressive undefeated start to the season. Glad to see they finally beat someone out of the SVC this week.
5. PV - this team is going to be interesting because of the inconsistent play game by game.
6. Chillicothe - even though they are winless, their losses are to better quality opponents than the teams below them, plus athletically they have a bigger upside compared to the bottom of the rankings.
7. SE - has the best quality win (Vinton) compared to the teams below them and competed well against solid opponents so far. Minford beat them badly, but Minford probably wins the SVC if they were in that league.
8. Piketon - Barely hang on to this spot this week. Handled Eastern better than the team ranked in the 9 spot. Went to the wire with a solid Whiteoak squad also looked at as a positive.
9. Huntington - off to a good start. Wins include Eastern, Northwest(struggling so far, thought everyone returned from last season) West Union. Need a better quality win to move up the rankings, have their chances coming up in SVC play.
10. Eastern - Where did they come from all of a sudden? Two victories this week. The three ball must have been falling! Their ranking here is because the two teams above them beat them in their matchups.
11. Adena - close but can’t get over the hump and get that first win. That unfortunately lands them in the basement this week.
