Keep in mind Trimble was missing PF Bryce Downs, he makes a difference when in the lineup, especially on the defensive end. He will be out another 2-3 weeks, but should be 100% and in shape when tournament time rolls around.

100% agree, Trimble is a great team and a final four caliber squad. It seems like some people act like Caldwell lost to a bunch of scrubs lol.

I wasn’t shocked by the results of this game because I thought Trimble wasn’t good. I was shocked by this because I thought Caldwell would be closer to being on the same level as Trimble.

As good as Trimble is this season, I would have like to seen them up grade there non League schedule, with maybe the likes of a Harvest Prep or Africentric or some team in that line, just someone else other then southeast region teams,so if they lose it would make them a better team down the road

They scheduled Fort Frye & Caldwell from the East district. Its kind of a double edged sword, 18-0 at the draw almost assures you of home court & the #1 seed, which is huge now.

Malvern the favorite. 3-4 other teams may have a chance.

Malvern was the heavy favorite last year and still couldn't get past Hiland. I'm not labeling them the favorite until they can prove it in the tournament.

I think Malvern, Hiland, and River are the top 3 contenders to win it. Strasburg has maybe an outside shot. I think the Caldwell vs Malvern game shows Caldwell is still a step below the top teams

Malvern was really good but my understanding is that the young man #10 who led in scoring that game with 18 and his brother who spent most of the night harassing Lori are ineligible after game 11. The people sitting beside me said they’re transfers from Minerva. Big holes to fill but will still be very good. I think it’s Malvern, Hiland and everyone else.

Caldwell won’t guard anyone. Nice team, but a recipe for disaster in the tournament.

. That’s BS with all the transferring going on at many schools

I am thinking that Malvern started 5 seniors vs. Caldwell. They then brought in a wave of energy into the game at 4:00. Roster says it is 3 sophomores and 1 jr. #10 is nice off the bench, but that green team is solid and #21 had a subpar game pointwise.

I knew they had two brothers transfer in from Minerva, but I didn't know about they could be ineligible after game 11 wow,I haven't seen them play this year in person , just on live stream tv,. Malvern has a away game with River on jan.29, then also on Jan 15 MLK showcase,at North Canton Hoover HS,they play a very good
D3 Norwayne team from Wayne County,so that would be game 12 so we will see if those brothers are ineligible to play

Caldwell from what I saw not as good as advertised. So if they are one of the top teams in the East I hope we get to face the East in the tourney.

I think there’s a pretty good gap between a Caldwell and the top of the district. If I had to guess right now I would say Caldwell doesn’t win a sectional. The 4 sectional winners will probably be Malvern, Hiland, river, Strasburg.
