Ross/Pike County Power Rankings - Week 6

Post by Snotnose »

Everything stays status quo from the previous rankings, first time this has occurred this season. Interesting twist over the past week of play saw all the SVC schools that were in action went down in defeat. Games being played will pick up again as we move past the holidays, as the action has been kinda quite on the hardwood.

1.Waverly - even though it was a loss, very impressive showing by the Tigers against a strong DI opponent of Upper Arlington in the inaugural SOCS Classic. Got back into the win column Tuesday evening, beating West. No doubt proven they have been and continue to be the top team in these rankings.
2.Unioto- Gallia avenged last year’s District loss sliding by the Sherman’s in a tight game.
3.Chillicothe - finally got back into game action Tuesday night after a lengthy Covid pause. Tough way to get back into the swing of things playing Lancaster on the road. Competed fairly well as a lot of rust has to be shaken off getting back into game situations. This loss doesn’t hurt their standing as they stay put in the third spot.
4.Western - took care of business as expected blowing out East in their lone contest of the past week
5.ZT - idle
6.PV - idle
7.Piketon - defeated by a talented SOC II squad Minford. Looking to build upon their game against a tough non-conference opponent as they get back into SVC play.
8.Eastern - like Piketon, also played Minford. Got in a hole early in the first quarter and ended up losing by 20. Same margin of defeat Minford handed to Piketon.
9.SE - idle
10.Huntington - one of the four SVC teams which laced them up during the past week. Lynchburg took care of business on the road, beating Huntington by a considerable margin.
11.Adena - engaged in a tight contest against Miami Trace as it took overtime to decide the final outcome in the Warriors loss. Inching closer and closer to remove themselves from the bottom spot.
