Guffey hands down.

But the little sophomore from Fed Hock Tariq Cottrill has has closed the gap since the start of the season.

You would definitely have to give the Cottrill kid some consideration. He did some real damage to the Bulldogs.

The starting 5 for Trimble are the top 5 players in the league with Guffey at the top.

#6- Cottrill from FH

Hated coaching against Cottrill in junior high. Played man and he drove on us. Played zone and he hit outside shots.

He's tough for sure. Ate Athens up, but Athens isn't very good. Still, 10 threes?

Athens record not great, but they are actually pretty defensively.

Athens opponents scores:

Columbus Briggs 46
Marietta 49
Gallia 50
Circleville 34
Meigs 47
NY 47
VC 55
Wellston 32
Jackson 39
Federal Hocking 70

As you can see, the Dogs schedule is a little tougher than most and no team has even scored 60 on them, let alone 70.

I'm willing to bet they won't score 70 in Glouster. Suffocating defense is what they'll be facing. Any takers?

If Hammond doesn't win this award there is something wrong with the TVC. (Reason SG is moving on to SOC in order to be more well respected and be in a more competitive league.)
Would not be surprised if Athens/Meigs county schools team up in order to screw Gallia county. We are so done with the awful and dreadful, horrible TVC and can't wait to get to where we have always belonged in the SOC. You should all be ashamed. RV not long to follow to SOC

League player of the year almost ALWAYS goes to the best player on the league champion - or at least a team in 2nd, maybe even 3rd if he or she is head and shoulders better than everyone else. I don't think going the SOC is going to help with post season awards unless you start winning titles.

Everyone in the TVC Hocking has a been wanting SG out since they first got in. So, thank you for finally leaving. The fact that it took SG all these years, and we all know they were desperately trying and begging to get in other leagues, to somehow get someone to take you and the TVC wanted them out so desperately says a lot about SG. But the TVC allowed you to stay and all you can do is hurl insults back at them when you should be saying thank you to them. What a joke. While you're at it, take RV with you. I'm sure the Ohio Division would be extremely grateful if you would. As for POY, win some games and you might have a chance of getting a player nominated. Being the best player on a bad to mediocre team doesn't usually warrant POY honors. Just sayin.
