Sounds like it was a defensive struggle!

So they had this game before Waverly was done playing. The Coach of the year, The Player of the Year and none of Waverly’s seniors could play in it.
And from what I’m told, when Waverly was on the floor receiving the SOC CHAMPION trophy not one mention of them playing in the FINAL 4. THATS SAD!

Couldn’t agree more.. SOC game but not all teams able to participate. I don’t see an issue in having it one week later when everyone can join.. not sure who was in charge of it but I don’t agree with that decision.

Kind of hard to call this an All-star game honestly when the SOCII team had multiple players still playing. Really bad look on the conference and those running it

And it’s just seniors playing. Not a true “all-star” game.

I believe that’s dictated by the OHSAA.
The issue many of us have is the total disrespect the league showed Waverly - it’s not about the “all star game” itself…

I didn’t even know what day the all star game was until it was already played. And nothing new on one team not being able to play in it. Burg has sat out a few of them

OHSAA now allows underclassmen to play in “all star” games.

As far as disrespect, maybe Waverly needs to find a new league that would appreciate the value and level of competitiveness they’d bring...also congratulations on a GREAT season by Waverly.

Thank you. Not the first time it's happened and won't be the last.

Boohooing
Isn’t the first, Wong be the last.

Why has it ever happened and why would it happen in the future? Why wouldn’t the league be proud of its member schools accomplishments and recognize them?
Not just Waverly but it sounds like Westerns Elite 8 wasn’t mentioned either. How hard is it to take 15 seconds to recognize that? It’s not boohooing……

Really silly to play before Waverly was done.

Maybe Waverly should have lost sooner if they wanted to play in the SOC senior game. Again Burg has sat out a few of them, SW sat out a few, Oak Hill, NB. Everyone knows Waverly was the best team this year. Boohoo 😢

Literally not the point we’re trying to prove here. It’s the principle of it and it should go for any team in this situation. There shouldn’t be an issue at all with waiting 1 more week to host this event until ALL teams have finished their respected season.

NOT the point at all so I guess you’ll never understand.
Ya, boohoo…
