Ok….what do the big teams this year lose and return? What teams have most rotation players returning? Freshman to be that will make an impact for a team?

I’ll do Jackson and Whiteoak

Jackson loses a lot…a successful senior class. They return some good scorers in Evan Jarvis and Boston Campbell. Campbell scored 205 points last season and was in double digits 11x. As a sophomore he was thrown right in as a guard and we needed his ball handling. Jarvis had 184 points as a junior and 9x in double figures….was the 6 man but can score. Improved a lot on defense. I’m guessing Winters will leave after fist semester and head off to college early at wherever he decides. If not he’ll be a big returner as he was also over 200 points scored. Rest wil be bench kids that reallly only played JV or some potential freshman if they have good spring/summer/fall…but tough to have a good fall because everyone plays football. Names like Coen Davis, Dillon Delong, Zander Ervin, Braedon Stapleton, Ernst, Charlie Woodard, Bohdi Wolford will be battling for 2-3 starting roles and 2-3 other bench roles. Wildcard would be getting Eli Broermann back and he’d be a junior and starting PG. could be challenging to get to 10 wins.

Lost Bragg, Miller, Woodard, Blankenship, Prater

Whiteoak

Loses star shooter Brad Ashbaugh who was 22.5 ppg last year. Also Connor Butler and Bryce Bailey in the rotation will graduate.

Will return 3 year starters Landen Barnett and Carson Emery. Barnett will eclipse 1000 points and does it all. Emery, Roades, Beeler, DeAtley, Blair will start or be key bench guys. Doubt they’ll be very deep. Eyre, Brandonburg, Hamilton could vie for bench roles also as freshman and sophomores. Not deep but good role players alongside Barnett. Likely around a 13-9 or 12-10 D4 team against a good schedule.

Peebles brings back everyone ,but; McCoy and Jones who came in off the bench. 4 starters will be back: Porter,Reed,Sims,Kenchtly, Wilkerson,Beckham, Grooms,Crum ,Oldfield and a very good group of reserves who won alot of games this past season. I think they will end up at 14-8 on the season. Time will tell. No one ever moves in to Peebles ,so Josh will have to build from within. Browning and Shoemaker will be Sophmores this fall so,they may make some noise.

North Adams brings everyone back ,but; Avery Anderson and Cameron Campbell. Copas and company will in my opinion win SHAC big school next year.

Northwest returns 4 starters in Baer,Jenkins, Lintz and Bolin. Lintz and Bolin received SOC and District honors.
Lintz averaged 17 points a game and Bolin averaged 14.
Senior to be Cory Butler will most likely be the 5th starter.
They need some of the younger kids to step up. In coming freshman Logan Wolfenbarker will probably see some varsity time, just needs to get stronger.

Lose Zimmerman, Carpenter, Blizzard.

Return : Will Collins (sr) Connor Bender (sr) Roberts (So)
Dylan Shupert (so) Brock Campbell (Ju) Zander Rawlins (??)

There are a couple other JV guys who could come up like the McGraw boy. The 8th grader Hunter Barnard I feel like could definitely get varsity minutes next year.

It’s also been said that Lower (sr) will play next year.

Warren loses 3 starters from last year and returns a junior to be in Trent Taylor and a Sophomore to be in Julian Stadelman. We will only have 2 seniors this upcoming year both saw a decent amount of minutes off the bench but, were limited on the offensive end and were primarily in the game for their defensive abilities. This past season's freshman squad went undefeated and beat the Bloom Carroll freshman squad in a post season tourney and included 12 freshman in the class with Stadelman playing varsity and the others playing on the jv and freshman squad. Beginning of the year will probably be a work in progress but I'm hopeful during the summer we'll be able to develop some solid guard play from this years freshman class.

Absolutely. Another ball handler and a legit three pointer threat. Fastest man on the court anywhere in the league. We’ll take it

Yes Stuart
Big loss. More of a perimeter player but besides the other Stewart was the only legit size on the floor. The other Stewart can be a force inside but he has issues playing a lot of minutes and gets in foul trouble.

Unioto graduated 5 seniors (3 starters, including Branson and Park)

Only 3 juniors in the program, so should be really young.

Kids are really hard workers, so could surprise some folks. ZT is the big favorite in the SVC though.

I don’t see any great teams in the area next year. Could be the most balanced and average that the area has ever been.

McClain loses everyone, top 10 guys on their squad and all seniors. This years' senior class gave the McClain faithful a very memorable season, winning the FAC outright and then winning Sectional and District Championships. They'll return Trey Badgley and Andrew Potts who I expect will start next season. I look for it to be a down next few years for McClain. I say 3-5 wins next season.

Hillsboro loses several big pieces in Hunter Price, Quinton Captain, Jayse Middleton, Ethan Parry, and Canaan Griffith. They will return Bryce Parsons and Korbin Adams, and I look for incoming sophomore Tate Davis to take over the reigns as PG for the Indians next season. They will have a few solid pieces but I don't see them contending for an FAC title next season. I look for them to finish the season around 8-10 wins.

Washington loses just one player but it's a huge one in Reico Colter. It will be very very hard to replace that young man. They do return their other 4 starters in Tanner Lemaster, Isaiah Haithcock, Raleigh Haithcock, and John Wall. They also return incoming Sophomore Micah Brown who got some playing time down the stretch. I think Washington could contend for the league title next year and should be in the 13-16 win range.

Miami Trace is a very intriguing team looking at next season. They lose 4 seniors but really just one that played a lot in Hayden Hunter. They return big man Andrew Guthrie, Shay Salyers, and incoming Juniors Austin Boedecker, Eli Fliehman, Bryson Osborne, and Garrett Guess. I look for Miami Trace to be very competitive in the FAC next season and could see them potentially contending for the FAC crown. I see them winning 12-14 games.
