Watched most of the Fairfield Union-Warren scrimmaged tonight, both teams played a very physical style of ball. Stadelman will need to become a more consistent shooter and hopefully that'll come to him as he'll be the go to player behind Taylor. Overall they shot the ball very poorly, especially from the perimeter.

Watched the Federal Hocking vs The Peake scrimmage this evening. 1st quarter was all the Peake. The rest were close as both teams really pressed hard and played hard.
Of the 7 quarters it was 4 to 2 Peake with one tie.
JV the Peake won 3 quarters easily.
Other than the start 2 evenly matched teams.

Fairland won every quarter versus Jackson and Piketon. Only one quarter was close.

Got to watch the Waverly Unioto scrimmage today. First Tigers game I caught this year, all I can say is wow. Selfish play is an understatement. The point guard turn it over about as much as he shoots it. Kids not filling lanes, coming off picks wrong, what a disaster. Saw the Cade hit a good layup and they sub him out. (Every time anyone does something good they sub them). They sure do miss Travis as he would be in these kids butt for selfish play and turning the ball over every time down floor. Not a word said to them.
Waverly will not win a game until this young coach does something about it.

I think everybody in Tiger Land knew this year was a total rebuilding year for Waverly. There is no reason to start with the “Coaching Crap”. There is a reason why the coach decided to get out and it wasn’t all because of him wanting to watch his son play in college! I will wait til the 2nd half of the season to pass any judgement!

Seems like early on we're spending WAY too much time dribbling and trying to get the ball inside. This team simply doesn't have the inside guys to pull this off, I think in the end we'd be better off setting more topside screens and trying to get open shots from behind the 3. They are going to have to get the PG under control he can make a great play one minute, but he'll spend the next 2-3 minutes just making head scratching mistakes. I'd prefer just watching us play a more outside to inside game when a team doesn't have the talent the 3 pointers can be an equalizer working on creating more of those open shots and spread the court more which can create more space for the PG and Center (who plays with great hustle inside just very limited ball handling wise). I think we all knew this would be a tough year I'm just going to be looking for improvements as the season goes on the reality is we're a 5-7 win team and there's no shame in that with everything we're replacing. Right now, we're spending too much time trying to run specific plays and it's not there so turnovers are adding up fast, coaches are going to have to adjust to the players not their idea of what they would like to do. Good Luck and I hope they'll all figure it out together as the season moves on.

Fairland has a couple really good scrimmages approaching this week and next - Wednesday morning Fairland entertains Trimble (I HAVE GOT TO WORK WHERE THEY GET THE DAY BEFORE TURKEY DAY OFF!!! LOL) ... the Dragons then open their regular season at the Warren Clash at the Coliseum on Saturday vs Morgan High School before THE best of the best in a big scrimmage matchup - Minford travels to Fairland for a 6pm get together - would love to be in the cheap seats for this one ! ... 2 of the best in SEO/Southern Ohio going at it ...

Peebles and Eastern Pike had scrimmage this morning. Fun quarters to watch. Coaches explored many options. Not sure if either teams have their starters for sure yet. Eastern has some pretty good size kids. Peebles small but quick. We shall see what the season holds for both teams
