Just like Timmy said, Howie will have a surprise for them in round two. Nobody gets the best of Howie. Nobody.

First, one of Federal Hocking’s future losses “could” be to Trimble. Nobody has said it couldn’t be. However, I’ve seen both teams several times. Would be very surprised if Trimble can get them this year.

TVC STANDINGS UPDATE 1/8

Vinton County and Federal Hocking have somewhat seperated themselves from the pack in the TVC-Ohio and Hocking Divisions. The Vikings survived a tough test at Meigs on Friday before winning 66-53 to remain unbeaten in league play. The Lancers passed a huge test defeating Trimble 65-48 over in Glouster, before beating yet another D2 opponent by knocking off Athens 71-60 Saturday in Stewart. The win was the 10th straight for Federal Hocking. The two TVC leaders will squre off in a very intresting match-up next Tuesday, Jan. 17th, in Stewart.

I don't spend my days reading southeasternohiopreps. I usually get on Tuesday's and Friday's. I'm sure some posts slipped through. If I see dumb sh** when I get on to post scores and standings I delete it.

Vinton County has the lead at the midway point. Play Wellston Friday, then Greenfield Sat, Tues at Fed Hock then Next Friday at Alex---if they go through this with only 1 loss-- they will be lucky-- if they pull it off---control the league and another TVC championship.

TVC Round Up

Things are starting to heat up in area boys basketball after the weekend results, along with some very important games on tap this week. Wellston’s stunning triple overtime win over Vinton County, coupled with Alexander’s victory at Nelsonville-York, leaves the Spartans just one game back of the Vikes with the two teams set to square off for the 2nd time this year. There might not be a tougher venue or better backdrop for a big time game than a packed house and a raucous Section 8 at The Alley on a Friday night in Albany. Before the TVC-Ohio showdown, however, is another very intriguing game this Tuesday when Federal Hocking (11-2) welcomes Vinton County (9-2) to McInturf Gymnasium in Stewart. It’s not very often you get the Ohio leader vs Hocking leader this late in the season in a battle for bragging rights in the TVC. The Lancers, who have won 11 straight games, will be looking to build on an already impressive resume playing bigger teams as they eye the overall No. 1 seed in the DIV southeast district tournament. Federal Hocking has already played Caldwell, Alexander, Morgan, Paint Valley, Western, and Athens and will add Vinton County Tuesday plus a good Marietta team on Saturday.
