Jackson sits just one game behind both Miami Trace and Washington in the FAC standings with an enormous opportunity this Friday. If you would have told me before Christmas that Jackson would still be in the hunt for an FAC title in late January I would have never believed it. What a job Coach Morrow has done with the young bucks!
A win over Miami Trace and then a Washington loss to Miami Trace later in the season could put Jackson in position for a three-way tie for the FAC title.
The question is....can the Ironmen pull it off on Friday? Guthrie is a load and an obvious mismatch, but it sounds like Jackson was able to contain Lemaster of Washington last week so it'll be interesting to see how they do against Guthrie, I know the first time they played, Guthrie scored 20+ but that was in early December and we are seeing a different Ironmen team as of late.

In past years I believe Jackson’s staff and players have done a GREAT job on Guthrie…really holding him down but the first matchup he had a mess of easy buckets and the perimeter guys were fire…I think 8 or 9 of 17 from 3. Miami Trace does the small things and play a good brand of basketball…..they are a bad matchup. On the other side….Jackson has figured out the best mixes of players and the freshman aren’t looking like freshman. Morrow and staff will figure out the best plan and MT’s gym is a poor shooter’s gym. I could see Jackson keeping it close but MT is the decided favorite.
Jackson 5-2 in the league is a wow to me. Morrow’s best season coaching IMO, problem is MT is a bettter team and also very well coached.

The Ironmen have really surprised me the past couple games, with convincing wins over two pretty good teams, especially both being road games. This matchup against Miami Trace will be a tough chore to say the least. The Ironmen are no doubt playing with a lot of confidence right now, hopefully it will carryover into this game.

1 game vs South Point (#2 in the Elite 8)
1 game vs South Webster (top 20 team)
1 game vs Gallia Academy (top 15 team all season)
1 game @ Wheelersburg (headed for the top 15)
1 game vs Unioto
1 game vs Chesapeake ( the only team in Ohio to beat South Point #2)
1 game vs Western Brown (annual an excellent program West of Rte 23 ...

Good to see Jackson on the up and coming especially with such a young nucleus of players. Hope to catch the replay of this game if not the second half. Think MT will stream this one?

Battle of two of the best coaches in the area. Coach Morrow and Coach Ackley always have their teams ready to go. I give the slight edge to MT, not sure Jackson has an answer for Guthrie. If Jackson shoots it well this good be one heck of a ballgame. Give me MT by 9

MT normally streams it on one of their FB pages (Miami Trace Athletics, I believe).
