Agree with what you're saying, as the Blue Devils have been a little inconsistent at times this season. GA will need to be on top of their game, because the Pointers are a pretty talented team.

I think that was the problem I’ve seen 4 kids in recent years for the Pointers go over 1000 and every time it seems like the kid himself and his teammates are stressed over it! Pointers as a whole didn’t wake up until that happened!!

Once he got the monkey off of his back, he really killed us down the stretch. Congrats to him and the Pointers on a great win. Kudos to number 4 for the Pointers. He went in the last 30 seconds or so of the game to defend and made a huge defensive stop to keep the Devils from getting a shot off at the buzzer to end the game. Just shows every player has a role.

As stated, Lovely hit some really clutch shots down the stretch, but neither that nor him scoring his 1,000th point was the turning point in the game. A sequence with 1:04 left in the third changed the entire complexion of the game. Gallia got a big stop, up 38-32. Instead of holding for the last shot, they fired up a 3 that missed. SP responded with a 3 of their own. Not learning from their mistake, Gallia rushed down the court and put up another bad shot, leading to another bucket from SP. Instead of heading into the 4th up anywhere from 9 to 6 points, Gallia went into the fourth up 38-37 and with no momentum. The coaches need to see to it that these kind of things get cleaned up.

Yep…critical mistake

Win the last minute! Many teams ignore holding for last shot with a reasonable amount of time….in a lower scoring game, I’m always doing it.

Hate to see a team with talent like GA has go down like that? Not taking nothing away from south Point they have a fine ball club and with the right draw could wins some games come T-time Good luck to both.
