Maybe a reflection of what other coaches think of that league.
TVC Ohio has been down for quite awhile, there's a reason Vinton County votes against Warren and Marietta joining.
Absolutely. VC wants no part of that drive for every sport, every season. People don’t realize that some of our kids live closer to Chillicothe than McArthur. The district isn’t just McArthur. I personally would like to see VC and Warren play in basketball every year but it just won’t happen.

Just for the record, Warren leads the series 24-21 all time. The two have only played twice in the regular season since Warren left the TVC.

VC has only played Marietta ONE time in a regular season game. (Last year). They have met twice in the tournament and VC leads the series 2-1.

Combined, VC has played those two Washington County schools 3 times in regular season contests. That in itself should tell you there is no real interest in playing every year, every sport, by any of the schools. But I’m sure it’s because VC is somehow scared.

Folks ignore logistics when it comes to teams playing, instead claiming fear instead of using common sense.

Warren had the votes to get in the TVC but wouldn’t join. Blame the idiots running warren.
I have been an administrator at Warren for 10 years. We have been officially told no by the TVC 3 times in those 10 years so the votes to get in must have come before I was employed. As someone who coached in the TVC for 11 seasons, I have great respect for the league and wanted our kids to get to be part of it. That was not a possibility so we went a different direction and hope to grow the TSL. Warren plays several TVC schools, including Vinton county, in multiple sports.
We are excited to host the TVC/TSL championship and think matchups like this is what makes high school sports fun.

Athens up 22-18 on Hillsboro at the break

Logan Elm leads 28-24 on McClain after 3

Circleville 56, Waverly 47 … Final, they played earlier for some reason.

Yeah we had tipoff at 5:30 I believe it had something to do with scheduling conflict for Circleville. Circleville let 22-21 at half and just dominated the 3rd quarter as they started on a 9-0 run and ended up leading by 15 after 3, just too much to overcome. Waverly with a tough season played strong all the way till the end, hopefully they can put this season behind them and get better going forward. Only 2 seniors on the team and 1 was out all season and the other came in halfway so returning a bunch.

Interesting time for Michael Bearden (#3) for WCH to get upset with the coach and leave the team. That's the word on the street anyway.

Forgot to do the early picks and only would’ve missed Hillsboro over Athens

This round…

Jackson at New Lexington….Jackson a decent underdog and more so than last year when they knocked off FU. Last year had a couple part players return very late in the season and made them a bit better than their seeding. This year freshman are 4 of the top 6 players so it will be an even bigger task than last year….Morrow and staff will have the Ironmen ready for what New Lex will do on offense. If the Ironmen are taking care of the ball and finishing at the rim…they can be Cinderella. In the end it’s a tough road trip on a school night and the more experienced and successful home team should prevail. Go Ironmen

Warren Local vs Vinton County….game at Warren so big favor to Warren but VC has all the parts to win this game and advance (and keep advancing) …Warren coach 400 wins, VC coach closing in on 20. This is the most interesting game to me….if VC executes their A game snd plays with the passion they did at Jackson, they’ll win. My pick though is Warren at home by 9 (pulling away in final minute with free throws)

Washington vs Hillsboro….no Bearden I hear? Makes it closer and weakens WCH. Gotta go with Washington though by 14

Fairfield Union vs Logan Elm….great coach as the underdog but FU has to get to districts this year. FU by 10

Miami Trace vs Circleville….MT is better and tough shooting environment. MT by 8

Ironton vs Sheridan…that road trip whoa….Ironton should take care of business but Sheridan has expectations in the tourney every year. I’m going with Ironton by 6, but this game has red flags for an upset

Gallia Academy vs Alexander….interesting but I have to think Gallia can handle Alex. Gallia Academy by 9….beware the senior star though

Marietta vs Unioto…..Etta by 11 but Unioto has had some recent tourney upset successes

If true. Welcome to 2023. Sad people
Really sad. Parents need to get Utubu or listen to games on radio
