Maybe just me but waiting 10 days for the first round games to play seems a bit excessive….

It was so teams had time to make up canceled games. It was strategically planned by OHSAA to keep kids having to many games the last week or two of the season.

About that…the SW starts their tournament play tomorrow in D4, so they must have missed the memo.

It’s called make up week for ppd games. Luckily this year hasn’t been bad for weather ppd games. No team wants to play a game to fill out the schedule after tournament games.

The last HS game I played in was after both teams were eliminated and it was to complete our league schedule. It sucked.

Makes sense. Thankfully the weather and illnesses have been not as bad this year and we haven’t had to deal with as many makeups.

Portsmouth and Minford re-scheduled their game to this Friday to avoid a long layoff for both teams. If they didn't re-schedule the game, PHS would have had an 11 day layoff whereas Minford would have almost 2 weeks.

I can imagine this will be the excuse used when Howie upsets teams in the playoffs. Especially the first two games. That and “the refs cheated us because Howie stomped and stared at them” will be the cry of the sore losers.

Thats why he is so well known for his deep tourney runs. Refs and coaches from other teams have time to forget how devastating the stomp and stare can be. Plus he trains to be even stompier for tournaments. So then when it happens in these games the people exposed are frightened almost tp the point of peeing themsleves. Hey maybe thatis why Swanker craps himself. He saw Howie in person and couldnt take it.

SW still has two league games to play. Minford tomorrow and NW on the 17th. Neither mean anything now being played this late.
