What's the predictions for the 1st game between these two teams?

West has lost 5 of their last 6 games, but lost only by 2 to Minford @ West and only by 1 to Burg @ Burg in their last 2 games. Hard to get a read on this West team. But one thing is for sure West will come out and be physical as always, and Webster will have to match their physicality and be able to penetrate West's 1-3-1 zone defense they love to run. If not, it could be a long night for the Jeeps on their homecoming night.

I think a lot will depend on the outcome of tonight. If we win do we come in tomorrow over confident and have a let down game? If we lose, do we come in & take out our frustration & win by 30? But hopefully regardless of tonight’s outcome, and being homecoming, our guys come to play.
My gut feeling is that the Jeeps sweep the weekend!

Hopefully west wants to press Webster.

I look for West just to stay back in their 1-3-1 and try and force us to put up bad shots. Hopefully we don't settle for them and attempt to move the ball around and look for good shots. No way West can handle us if we go inside on them.

If Webster plays with that same intensity the rest of the year no one will stop them.

The (13-2) Jeeps face West Portsmouth at home tonight with the JV Tipoff at 6:00. Homecoming ceremony will be inbetween games.

There also will be an absolute Webster legend in attendance tonight

Got a chance to watch a couple west games this year . 1-3-1 IS ELITE . If they can get shots to fall they’re a tough team to play . i think that’s why they play the best teams close

I’m calling SW by 11 or more.

I’m also calling Sommer goes for 20+ with 4+ long balls. He had a rough game last night but I think he comes into tonight hungry!

Rough night for the Jeeps at the FT line. I think they went 9-20 if I’m not mistaken. Also, only 1-8 from 3, so could’ve been better there as well. Clean all that up and it should’ve been a 10+ win, but a W is a W. Nice job handling the 1-3-1 and a solid effort on D against a tough West squad with some good shooters. Not gonna lie, the surplus of over the top lob passes were dangerous, but they found a way to hang on. West can definitely knock off some of the area’s best on any given night, which explains the number of close games they’ve had this year.

Good way to end the week for SW going 3-0 and having a week to prepare for Friday’s rematch with Minford. Going to take a great effort like last night at Burg to avenge the 4 pt loss earlier this year. Practice your FTs, cut down on the TOs, and keep up the good defense and it should be a dandy.

Probably need to practice passing the ball to the 6’7 guy standing under the basket pretty open. No confidence throwing it up.
