Marietta at Fort Frye

Basketball season opens with a TSL matchup for Fort Frye, I believe this is Marietta’s first game as well. Thoughts on this matchup? I believe both teams lost quite a bit from last year. For Fort, who is going to carry the scoring load? What does Marietta have this year without Kendall?

Heard the Miller boy was suppose to be playing basketball but never heard anything for sure? Would have to think FF will have to shutdown Wittekind if they want a chance.

It is expected both of these teams will be down. How much? We'll see. Marietta lost three starters who will be hard to replace. They will play hard defense but not all other categories -- rebounding, shooting, ball handling will be difficult. Tigers will get above .500 if they can avoid injuries. Fort Frye does not appear to have size and one or two expected starters may not be on the team -- at least that's one report I've seen. I'm sure there are others who can share more detail.

Who are the starters not on the team? I only know of one player that I would have expected to be in the rotation that I don’t think played.

I'm guessing the staters for fort Frye would be: Clayton Miller, coen fouss, trevon Nicholson, chatum courson and Grady hesson. Grady would be the only one I'm not real confident in starting.

Marietta looked really good tonight. Athletic, can shoot ball, and plays really good pressure defense.

Fort looked pretty bad. Lots of careless turnovers and no flow to the offense.
