We never got rain or freezing temperatures until about 9:20 p.m. Wonder if they'll play the River Valley game Saturday?

Tobias..What was the Portsmouth-Jackson reserve score. Thanks.

How do you have that size of a turn in outcomes? From -5 to +46

I can't remember a turn of more than 40....Ironton at 51

Ironman92,

I'm with you. And, hasn't it only been like two weeks in between the loss and the win? Talk about minimizing the loss from the resume!!!! Wow!!!

I remember Portsmouth beating Jackson 100-63 or 100-66 and then a month later Jackson upset them....that's the biggest I can remember.

Its what makes the tourney so exciting. All teams have a shot regardless of records

Huntington hands Piketon their 1st home SVC loss in 3+ years, the Streaks streak was at least 25, very impressive. Just a quiet crowd tonight, no student involvment from each side and I'm hoping because of the predicted weather.

Brice Vickers led Huntington with 22, Greg Magill with 19 pts and 8 rebs off the bench. Dylan Gragg had 12.
Craigen Moore led Piketon with 16(I think all were in the 2nd half, most in the 3rd quarter), Ike Brabson put in 14, and Wyatt Brewster had 12 and didn't let the big game bother him as a freshman.

Huntington is now 10-3 and 7-1 in the SVC. Piketon drops to 7-5 and 5-3 in the SVC.

Logan Elm beats Amanda by 10. Played harder but shots would not fall for two-and-a-half quarters. Circleville was down 4 to Carroll at half and was then outscored 18-2 in third quarter. Lost 61-35.

This is the best I have seen Ironton play this year. Finally, they played 4 QUARTERS of basketball. Incredible defense. If they play D like that the rest of the year they could make a deep run in the tourney.

Schnellfritz ... got it - just moved the Elite 8 from the beginning of the week over to this page ... everything will be updated for the Sunday rankings ... ALWAYS a good win over one of those Washington County "rivals" for sure ...

Floyd ... Tell me the weather hasn't derailed your plans of heading down to the river tonight???

No way amd I letting a little snow/ice ruin my Saturday ... Going to the Convo for the 2:00 game versus Miami (COMPLETELY SOLD OUT FLOYD!) ... Then gonna hop in my car and head south to see the (9-1) Tornadoes versus the (6-2) Golden Rockets.

... #1 TEAM ON THE RADAR ... moving up the listing with a bullet => Eastern Brown ... winning 7th in a row last night beating Ripley 58-49 ... had Coach Beucler's boyz in the Elite 8 in the Preseason poll BUT injuries had the Warriors on the ropes until the last 3 weeks - ALL is well now as EB is playing some of the BEST fundamental basketball in Southern/Southeastern Ohio ...

... 93dog ... still digging out of the ice here in the Hocking Hills LOL ... EVERYTHING is "iced in" - cars, roads, sidewalks ... the sun is SUPPOSED to make an appearance - we'll see what that does to the road conditions , I have NOT ruled out the trip down to the river at all ...
