Southeastern beating Piketon is a shocker, even if it was at SE. SE finally got all of their players back and played with a full squad for the 1st time all season.

Unioto wins by about 10 over Paint Valley. Never was close, but Knisley for PV caught fire late to bring it from around 20 to the final score. Never was in doubt though.

Circleville Tigers improve to 8-4 with 71-55 win over visiting Columbus Academy.

Big difference was 25-12 first quarter, the last 13 points scored by Circleville.

SEOAL appears to be Big two, very small eight.

Captain, they probably could but they don't match up well with the big boys of the SEOAL. Same thing applies to Canal and the MSL. The scores I have seen from Zville and Chilli are amazing. And at the same time they're trying not to run up the score. Chilli, Zville and Canal are just on another level right now.

The point I make about the MSL is it has more depth than the SEOAL this season, for whatever that's worth.

Warren could actually be 9-1 if they would have beaten Maysville from the MVL...A game I'm sure they would like to have back!

Warren is a good program, but Logan is iffy, sorry pfloyd. Now that could change still a month to improve for the tournament. The overall point is Chilli, Zville and Canal are all excellent teams and they posted big wins over traditionally strong programs - Warren, Logan Elm and on down the line.

.. the SEOAL is an example of the perfect "food chain" in a pond ... we have the bottom feeders of the pond we call the SEOAL - Athens/Jackson/Gallia (this year) ... then we have those teams that can and do feast on the bottom feeders AND each other - Logan/Marietta/Ironton/Portsmouth ... above this group of wannabee teams there is a rogue team that can feed on almost all the teams in the pond - a quality TEAM that will only lose to a TEAM that has superior athletes and an equal or better foundation of fundamentals - this would be Warren ... finally we have the BIG KAHOONAS in the pond - these teams have no rivals in the pond - they are blessed with outstanding athletes , on top of a commitment to a PROGRAM of teaching the "correct" fundamentals, they work at making a player good, the good players better and the best players outstanding ... these programs aren't satisfied with just a W ... no false realities here ... these big fish are competitive vs any team, any other program ... they can swim anywhere and everywhere in or out of the pond ...

... Logan isn't even "iffy" as a program b618 - a collection of good "athletes" - a team of athletes ... in Logan their is no PROGRAM ... a program in my definition is one that sustains itself from year to year no matter the level of athlete ... Logan has settled for sitting back and waiting for a "one year good team" to come along - looking for a team that can athletically take down teams - not a team that has been provided with the tools to play vs any and all teams ... but a team that will only beat the teams that have lesser athletes ... as soon as Logan plays a TEAM - even one with lesser athletes - one that has been given the tools (fundamentals/coaching of the game) - Logan has real difficulty being competitive ... as a D1 school , Logan should be competitive with any team we play - doesn't mean we should win vs this years or last years Zanesville/Chillicothe teams BUT there is no way Logan - a D1 school - should be getting manhandled by these two teams (a 57 points deficit ??? that was a gift too ) ... it's the state of Logan basketball at this time top to bottom - mediocrity ... good athletes without the tools to fulfill their potential which in turn leads us down the path of playing underclassmen (those that are better athletically) which continually puts LHS under the "inexperienced" mode ... a cycle of mediocrity ... don't see it changing from what I saw in the freshmen/jv/varsity game vs Athens Tuesday night ...

Logan Elm shoots 50 percent from the field in a very physical game to beat Bloom-Carroll 52-42.

Largent had 11 points and 14 rebounds. Chad Holbrook 10 points and Adam Blake nine points and five rebounds for the 8-3 and 6-1 Braves.

Logan Elm hosts Columbus Westland tomorrow night.

Circleville defeats Hamilton Township 65-48. A very good win for Circleville. McMahon 18, Hartinger 17 and Clanin 12 for the 9-4 and 5-2 Tigers.

The Tigers travel to Bloom-Carroll Tuesday.

Westfall also picked up a good win on the road at Adena. No details on this one as of yet.

I can't believe that the loss to D-1 4th ranked team in the state would drop Z-ville out of Pfloyd's no 1. The Blue Devils were very impressive in the loss and i believe they proved today they can play with anyone in the state! Andre Harris picking up his third foul in the 2ed qter was a game changing play. Dept is Z-ville's weakness, and Ced Harris is a real nice ball player and the key to much of Z-ville's success. The Pratti boy is really coming along and is going to make Z-ville a monster of a team down the stretch. I would have liked to see Logan kick the ball out to the open shooters on his drives. WH was collapsing 3 and 4 players on him to stophim and he forced some shots. No 3 for Warren Harding was the best player in the 1st 2 games. He's got to be a major D-1 player!
