I agree WCH shouldn't be in the top eight based on their schedule but they could play with some of those lower top eight teams so moving them a bit higher in wannabees could be argued.

fhs_shl11 wrote:Pfloyd, here is the rest of Leesburg-Fairfield's schedule. I think you should bring the Pfloyd tour to watch them play.
One that you might come watch is one of the two games they have against Peebles. They have had a nasty, brutal, bloody(literally) rivalry the last two years.
1/29/10 7:30 PM vs. Manchester (Manchester, OH)
2/02/10 7:30 PM vs. Peebles (Peebles, OH)
2/05/10 6:00 PM @ West Union (West Union, OH)
2/06/10 7:30 PM vs. Paint Valley (Bainbridge, OH)
2/09/10 7:30 PM @ Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH)
2/12/10 7:30 PM vs. Eastern (Sardinia, OH)
2/13/10 7:30 PM @ Adena (Frankfort, OH)
2/19/10 7:30 PM @ Peebles (Peebles, OH)

Should be two very good games, could be a deciding factor on the league gold ball. I personally cant wait for the Eastern Brown/Peebles matchup. Both teams have a good shot at coming into the game undefeated in the league and the winner could claim the aforementioned ball.

... I looked at Washington CH schedule to date - they lost to Valley, lost to Hillsboro the only other teams on their menu of games that are Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line are Circleville 2-BIG/McClain around .500/Fairfield Leesburg .500 team ... the other teams they play are pretty much .500 ball clubs I believe with the possible exception of Madison Plains who HAS beaten Hillsboro both times they have met this season (winning by 2 points each game) ... imo the other teams ABOVE them have played a tougher schedule in getting where THEY are on the lists ... I admit that when you start talking Clinton Massie, Madison Plains , Bob Evans, etc. I'm NO expert there lol ...

Pfloyd,

Eastern Pike is 9-2 (7-0 SOC1) heading into this week. The 2 losses were to state tourney teams a year ago (Piketon and Charleston Catholic)

Zane Trace is fine were they are. They recently beat Piketon and are currently #1 in their conference.

6. Zane Trace's 4 losses came in their first 8 games of the season to Bloom Carrol 6-2, Piketon 9-4, Peebles 11-0, and Logan Elm 11-2. They are 5-0 since losing to LE and have beaten two very good teams in Vinton County 9-3 and Piketon 9-4, and over the last five games have averaged 70 points/game and giave up 48 points/game. Quick math AVG margin of victory over that time span is 22 points/game. I think pfloyd's ranking is accurate, although polls mean absolutely nothing in High School sports, but makes the game more fun/interesting and gives fans/coaches one more thing to disagree on.

7. Chillicothe: I have less information on Cthem, but I do know they play a tough non-league schedule and are in a tough conference and have also had some injuries and are a very young team. They always seem to peak at the end of the season though. I would not want to have them on my schedule at tournament time.

Pfloyd the dragons went down tonight at CG. It was one of those games were the Hornets hit every thing threw up and the dragons couldn't buy a basket. This is IMO a huge upset and will hurt the dragons coming seeding time. They now stand at 6-6 with a tough game at South Point.

Peebles over Whiteoak by 20, Blake Justice with 35pts(29 in the first half, he outscored the entire Whiteoak team through half the game). Does anyone have the official score?

I would like to see them try to beat any of the top 6(I havent seen Athens play so I will give them the benefit of the doubt). 4 of those top 6 are ranked in the entire state in their respective divisions(Logan Elm #10 in D-2, Peebles #13 in D-3, Athens #12 in D-2, and Oak Hill #7 in D-3).

I wouldnt use AP polls to defend a team being very good or bad! lol Chesapeak is solid, but IMO, there isnt a team in SE Ohio that is head and shoulders better than anyone else. The one thing I hate about this poll is that Logan Elm, Chillicothe, Logan, Athens and other D II teams are pitted against say, Notre Dame, Eastern and Western Pike! lol

The Scioto Valley Conference is a terrible 8-25 in non-league games this winter. Grant it that ZT and Piketon play good non-league schedules, but they are 3-5 combined.
