Logan Elm (14-3, 10-1) hits on eight of its first 11 possessions and defeats Circleville (10-7, 6-5) 64-45 Tuesday. Very balance and patient attack for Logan Elm, along with good defense from the Braves.

Pfloyd, if you can make it we hope to see you at the reservation Saturday night when 15-2 Canal Winchester comes in for a game which will prob determine the MSL champion.

Logan Elm 22 9 18 15 -- 64
Circleville 15 4 11 15 -- 45

LE: C.Holbrook 5-0-12, Riffle 1-0-2, A.Blake 5-0-13, eight assists, Coleman 1-0-2, Largent 3-0-6, Congrove 5-0-14, B.Blake 2-2-6, five assists, Z.Holbrook 4-0-9, six rebounds. 3-point goals: Congrove 4, A.Blake 3, C.Holbrook 2, Z.Holbrook. Totals: 26-2-64.

pfloyd,

Fairland and South Point have their rematch Friday night at South Point. It is South Point's Senior Night. The first game is one of the best high school games I have seen in years.

bman,
Hartinger 3-0-7, McMahon 2-1-6 that stat right there is impressive. Le has really turned it up as of late. When you can hold those two scorers to nights like that, thats getting it done. I think LE is primed for a good tourney run.

Fu got its first season sweep of BC since 83...when coach keith barr was a junior. Alot of good teams have gone through fu and not done that. Though carroll is down its still a big deal. Fu just has to find more consistency and needs to get healthy.

I think the MSL buckeye is going to make noise in the tourney(not just SE)

Unfortunately I haven't got a chance to see Fairfield yet but I think they'll get to the Convo and I look forward to seeing them there. The MSL is having a good year and I look for several teams to go deep.

LE is playing well right now. I'm looking forward to seeing them against Canal.

A SOLD OUT crowd created quite an atmosphere for a huge MSL basketball game between seventh-ranked Canal Winchester and Logan Elm on the reservation.

Lead changes hands four times in the first period. A. Blake and Largent four each. Mullens a monster flush, layup and four boards. CW 14 LE 10. Second quarter saw an even period for the most part with CW taking a 24-19 halftime lead.

Nelson fueled CW on a 12-2 run during the third quarter that made the difference. This kid is a player. Nailed a 35 footer banking in the shot at the buzzer. CW 41 LE 27. Final score CW 60 LE 45.

Nelson 20 and five steals, Mullens 12 and 16 rebounds for 16-2 Canal, your MSL champions.

Adam Blake 14 points and seven assists, Bryant Blake 11 points and Steve Largent 8 and seven boards for the 14-4 Braves.

Canal Winchester has turned into a nice defensive team. This team has made a lot of progress from the beginning of the season. If Chilli and Canal meet up at the Schott, it's going to be a dandy.

Another score from the Northwest saw Fairfield Onion defeat the Roundtown 61-10.

FU 10-8, 5-7
CV 10-8, 6-6 MSL

There you have it from the 'ole Northwest. A great evening at Logan Elm with two of the better basketball teams in the area. Great atmosphere and both teams showed a lot of respect for the other after the contest. What HS sports are all about.

The ROAD TO THE CONVO begins soon.

Has there been voter fraud or oppression of vote south of the Lancaster-Dixon line? Missing Pfloyd's super Elite Eight as the ROAD TO THE CONVO is slated to begin in a little over one week.

Perhaps he was kidnapped by someone from McClain/Fairland/Chesapeake?

As soon as the McLintock riders get back from the mudslide, I'll send them out to look for him.

Huntington 59
Unioto 58

Unioto jumped out to a 30-19 halftime lead, but a big Huntington run in the 3rd evened the game up. Corey Cottrill had the game winning putback with about 7 seconds left for Huntington.

Huntington moves to 18-1, while Unioto drops to 5-13

Adena 70
Piketon 68

Paint Valley 52
Zane Trace 49

Another solid defensive performance for Logan Elm. Things are absolutely falling apart for Circleville, however.

Circleville didn't look good against Teays Valley at all. They better get it in gear or their season is over against WCH. Nice to see Logan Elm rebound.

Portsmouth played its best game of the year with a resounding 69-51 win at Ironton. The Trojans at one point in the game had a 24 point lead.
