'STICKY' IS A GO FLOYD ...

Love seeing the Miller Falcons climbing the Tree Huger list ... they've won 5-out-of-6 league games and they have a big showdown at Federal Hocking Friday.

"IF' Miller shocks the world and beats the Lancers, they would deserve mad respect for beating both Belpre and Fed Hock on the road.

AND IS IT ME - OR DOES ATHENS HAVE A BIG GAME PRETTY MUCH EVERY WEEK? THIS FRIDAY ITS #2 ATHENS vs #5 VINTON COUNTY

Pfloyd.. thanks for a great job. Saw Chilli versus Logan Elm last night. 42-31 LE. I was not too impressed with either one. Of course, Stiverson did a great job adjusting at half time and LE scored 33 points the second half. It is amazing what a good coach can do. Glad to see you moved up Washington C.H., I am not a fan of theirs but they started 0-3 and have reeled off 10-11 in a row. Back to LE, them shooting 67% in the second half makes the coach look good too. I am sure Doug would admt that.

One of the perks of going down to the Beasts of the Southeast is getting to see some really, really good teams ... and I gotta tell ya Floyd, that No. 4 team you have on your list was impressive!

While working on the Convo 2013 page on trivalleyconference.com I noticed a picture of Chase Lawson from last year - but you can go ahead and forget that photo - the kid looks nothing like he did a year ago ... not sure what he did, whether he got a personal trainer or what ... lol ... but he is much bigger, stronger and is lightning quick ... he pulled up for an NBA three and drained it right in front of me last Saturday versus Logan Elm, and then came down the floor the next trip down and posted up, put a spin move on the defender - and took it to the hoop. He is a special player for sure.

We've been very lucky to get that Chesapeake/Portsmouth finale the past two years at the Convo ... I wouldn't be shocked to see the same situation but with Ironton and Eastern Brown.

... events such as the Beast of the Southeast, the Marietta Tourney on the River at MC, the Tip OFF Classic at ZT - where you get to see lots of teams/talent are MUST dates on every season's calendar of games to see - always great hoops, quality teams, and individual talent ... it's what I try to do every year ... it's all about the "eye test" - the more teams you see, the more you know about all of the hoops Below the Line ... glad you are enjoying the rounds this season 93dog ...

I may have gone down to Chesapeake - but while their - the enfamous Pfloyd was still the star of that show ... lol ... everyone I met wanted to know if I had talked to Pfloyd, seen Pfloyd, asking me if I knew how Pfloyd was ... you know I didn't even get a free T-shirt - but guess what - Coach Davis made sure I got one - but its to give to Pfloyd.

LOL

Ironman....Gtown is DIII. Boys enrollment is 134. Cutoff is 122. Gtown is very talented even if they are playing without their horse on the inside. Get the Bradley kid back and look out. He is out the whole season due to knee surgery.

I am excited to see the Warren vs Newark Catholic match up this weekend. Should be an outstanding game! In addition you also have the New Lex vs Fort Frye game. New Lex has defeated some very solid opponents as of late winning four of five now and knocking off teams such as John Glenn and Tri-Valley.
These games will take place at the Route 40 Classic.

No big deal but the big Eastern/Notre Dame matchup will be on the Titans home floor, not in Beaver.
