Wheelersburg is actually 17-3. I don't know if the Jackson or Adena games will be made up. I doubt it at this point....

Logan plays at home vs Massilon Perry tommorow early evening, Fairfield Union plays AT Sheridan Monday night as well ... on Thursday the 22nd Trimble squares off with Waterford for the 2nd time in less than a week ... all 3 of these games will have a bearing on the final Elite 8 come next weekend ...

... the Elite 8 is only kept during the regular season ... I will only be counting regular season games in the rankings - I realize that there are some makeup games being played as late as next Friday evening I believe ... hopefully I can keep up with the Regular Season finals vs the first week of the post season action ... we will see !

Maybe it was just me that little track after regular season, I remember the year we went to final four we was like 12 or 14 ,the ranking was right because we lost to a couple bad teams ,south point being one,but just shows that post season is wide open, great thing about hoops

Pfloyd, my apologies, nothing gets my Trojan Dave and he corrected me and said you indeed had the Trojan's in the one spot on our final four year .
See you at the convo

ohbuckeye2 wrote: Mon Feb 19, 2018 12:49 am What did Pfloyd's Elite 8 look like this time last year?

There seems to be quite a few losses in the Top 8 this year, is it do to the competition level of the Teams they played? I know Fairland lost to some top notch competition, what about the others?
Logan's 2 losses were to a very good Mount Vernon team (by 2) and the #1 ranked team in WVa in OT

Fairfield Union lost to 2 of the top 3 teams from the Columbus City League, who are the high seeds in the D2 Central District.

Unioto's 2 losses were to Logan and Fairfield Union (OT)

Warren played a top flight schedule and got hot in the 2nd half of the season once their inexpierenced guys got more comfortable

Chillicothe lost to Unioto (by 3), Reynoldsburg (OT), Warren (by 2), Wilmington, Upper Arlington (state ranked in D1)

It appears that the schedules are getting more difficult in the non conference slate, which is great.
chillicothe also lost to #1 ranked Harvest Prep by 8 points

But, this really might be the first year to not have more than 8 lol, I also thought there was more than 8 too when I saw a tie.

Not only should you get a pass Floyd, they should be paying you to cover the district tourney. You've been doing it for years!

Lots of people can't read online articles, most media outlets charge for subscriptions. Your recaps are sometimes the only thing fans have access to.

... WE have both been at the Convo for years LOL ... it's what we do this time of the year ! you started encouraging "posters" both on the huddle and seops when we made the switch to meet in the OU HOF area between games ... WE met a bunch of good sports people back in the day , many of those folks we now see every year at the Convo, during the regular season, in both football & hoops ... it's been good times - you know me, I do the napkin stats because that's what I do ! LOL ... it's how I watch the games - keep the stats, look at the stats at the end of the game, analyze the teams - players, coaching - I decide if they meet the Pfloyd "eye test" or not - for what THAT is worth LOL ... WE both know how awesome sports are in general ... YOU know everyone in the TVC ! coaches. players, fans, parents of players LOL ... I totally enjoy ALL of the people I have gotten to know because of SEOPs - the Elite 8, posting on the website - the players, the coaches, the fans, the parents - the folks Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line are 2nd to none in their support/love of the game of high school hoops - I hope that over the years I have been able to do the players, the TEAMS, the coaches, the schools justice in my posts, game rundowns ... see you tomorrow night 93bulldog ! it should be a great opening game Friday night in Logan ! A'town vs VC !

I remember waaaay back when 93bulldog got a nick name of pup, it involved him leaving the convo with s gang from Ironton. In between games and nearly not making it back for the rest of the games, but that's all I will say

HA!

I'm just glad I survived my encounter with the I-Town mafia - and lived to tell about it!
