The girls at Garaway are just like their boys teams over the years. Slow, methodical and smart with the ball, play good defense and keep the score low. That's it in a nutshell and too many athletes on the other team is not a good thing for them IF: they stay under control.

Ironton fans know all about Garaway and the way they play.Ironton lost a heartbreaking regional final to them in 2006.Coach Hughes had the perfect gameplan,but it just fell a little short.But a hoop here or there the Lady Tigers would have had a return trip to the final four.Wheather this particular coaching staff has the proper gameplan remains to be seen.

The guy that coached those slow paced, state tourney teams for the Garaway boys in the early 2000's is now the girls coach at Garaway.
