Why? Eastern lost almost every player from last years team. Pullins was the only returning player. They are young, but will be right back on top in a year or two.

Because I follow their scores and just watched Minford struggle at Jackson.

Figured Eastern would win a kinda close game.

Looks like the SOC Division II schools fared very well at Wellston in the Classic. Minford beat Eastern Meigs 58-53, Oak Hill beat Nelsonville-York 54-40, and Wheelersburg came out on top against Logan 48-38. I also saw on the Portsmouth Daily Times website that Lucasville Valley beat Albany Alexander 70-63. The SOC II is a very strong league this year from top to bottom and these games today don't even include South Webster and Northwest who are both very good.

Same here - I was surprised Eastern lost to Minford as well as St. Joes. At The end of the St. Joe game coach made an odd substitution and the sub had 2 turnovers in the last 2 min. Also Until the guards can play unselfishly , eastern won't have a really good team. You can't get mad because someone else wins MVP at a turnament. These girls should welcome a player that can help a team win.
