2014-15 Minford Falcons

Post by mglight88 »

Should be a good season for the Falcons this winter. I am proud to say, we won't be having clock and horn delay issues in the upcoming season as Minford has replaced the scoreboards in the gym with the home side scoreboard supporting Player, Points and Fouls display. So excited to see the season get underway.

He resigned, it is currently posted in house and if it isn't filled they will post externally. He is wished the best of luck in both his new teaching and coaching positions at Clay. I believe he will be helping with junior high boys there.

Listed on the school's website. Minford has hired James Parkes to replace Scott Cayton. Jim, a familiar face in Falcon land, will bring experience and knowledge to Minford and be able to pick up many wins.

Lady Falcons looked good during their scrimmage with Ironton St. Joe, winning 3-of-5 periods. Another scrimmage at home vs. Notre Dame on Monday.

Lady Falcons had another great scrimmage against a very good Notre Dame squad. I hope we continue that strong play as the season progresses. SOC preview coming up and a contest with Washington CH at the Paint Valley Classic is next for Minford.

Notre Dame is indeed very good. Would you happen to know how many quarters each team won? Thanks!

Minford opened the season off with a nice win at the Paint Valley Classic over Washington CH. Lady Lions are supported with eight seniors this season, while Minford has none. The Lady Falcons open up SOC II play Monday at Waverly.
Go Falcons!

Lady Falcons picked up their second straight win on the road at Waverly
Minford led by 10 at the half 29-19 then took over the second half, outscoring the Lady Tigers 39-14 to win 68-33.
We travel to South Webster Thursday.

To all of you who think Minford might be good this year, youre wrong, they are not good at all, its actually quite embarrassing. When they play wheelersburg I see at 20+ margin with wheelersburg winning as I went to watch this poor talented team last night.

Hey gutlessglory, why all the bad mouth? Minford is a good team! They have a great freshman and a couple other nice players. And as far as the burg goes, unless they had some players transfer in recently, they looked to be the same as last year. Decent! Don't think they will get past Webster this year.

Burg will win the soc. Webster 2nd. Oak hill or valley 3rd. Northwest is the spoiler.

As for Wheelersburg beating Minford by 20 we will just to have to wait and see. As for the Burg they are the same team as last year with an extra addition. They have their other point guard number 13.
