Coaching Openings
Coaching Openings
The conclusion of the basketball year has happened for many teams. What schools will be searching for a new coach leading them into the 24’-25’ season?
Re: Coaching Openings
Must not be very much turnover this offseason, that’s a change from the last couple of years where it seemed several schools were looking for new coaches after each season.
Re: Coaching Openings
It's still early yet. Usually it's Mid to late March into April when it heats up.
Re: Coaching Openings
Valid point, Mission. Still unusual a couple of dominoes have not fell in these early stages.

Notre Dame’s coach resigned/retired today.
The Jackson job is open due to retirement.

Best job in Jackson County is the one at Hope Haven. No one in their right mind would apply for anything within Jackson City Schools
Re: Coaching Openings
I’ve seen some of their teams a few times but not much knowledge on coaches/administration, so I’ll bite, what’s this problem?Prep Expert wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 2:50 pm Best job in Jackson County is the one at Hope Haven. Re: Coaching Openings
Confirmed openings so far:
Jackson (maybe - according to Prep Expert we should be officially hearing from Jackson’s administration any day now they are shutting down the girls basketball program because it’s a bad job )
Portsmouth Notre Dame

Jackson is an excellent place to coach. Look at the tenures of their coaches , very little turnover.Prep Expert wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 2:50 pm Best job in Jackson County is the one at Hope Haven. No one in their right mind would apply for anything within Jackson City Schools

His Mother passed away before the season began, and then cam back about midway through the season, maybe that has something to do with him coming back.
Re: Coaching Openings
Meigs coach needs to go. He has ruined the program. Only has 3 returning girls that's including both JV and Varsity. My bad Meigs never had a JV team last year.

Good luck with that! Isn’t his sister on the board? That’s how he got the job!
