Are any of the girls who didn’t play last year back on the team this year?

Any word on the results? Should have been a good weekend start. Arcadia is smaller and has struggled other than a couple of years ago with a good class. Celina is a little bigger school but just doesn't have a girls bball program and typically gets 5-10 wins. Glandorf is a great program but typically has girls on the AAU circuit so I think he does a nice job of working his depth players and some younger kids in the summer to get some continuity. Bottom line, a good set of games to start with the new staff to get things going and feel each other out. I am guessing the second day was much more difficult though. Any word on who they played Saturday? Also, has everything settled down in Beverly?

Fort had shootout yesterday at ohio dominican university.
Had all there players there.
Beat clear fork by 7, beat Arcadia by 14, and beat Hamilton township by 18. Look really good with all the junior's there. Only played 1 freshman unlike ONU shootout. Dowler girl looked really good. They rotated 8 girls in and out constantly.

I think Waterford is gonna be down the next couple years. Hiland gonna be tough every year. Hiland will be in east district with FF and would meet them In a district final more than likely. Waterford will be in the southeast, so they'll be playing federal hocking and belpre in district paly, and would meet up with FF/Hiland in the regional. Gonna be an interesting season for the Cadets with the new coaching staff.

Oh no! You mean there are good teams between Fort Frye and a state title?!?! Gosh. The Lady Cadets might not win state for the seventy-fifth year in a row! I don't know how anybody in Beverly is going to be able to sleep at all.

Fort Frye has always had good teams ahead of them. Playing a game you love to play is the reward, not a state title. Friends, team mates, and life lessons. Good luck to all area teams on this up coming season. Definitely some good basketball teams in the area.

Beat south and lost to fed hock Monday in summer league. Went 5-2 at bluffton university last weekend. Play this weekend at marietta college. They are still trying to adjust to the new coaches. Hopefully they'll be pretty good this up and coming season. Only time will tell

Yes, they won the MC tournament. Also won six games there.
Including Bishop Waterman and East Fairmont.

In the other shootouts they played several d1 schools.

Beat Fed Hock and Belpre last night. Had two losses in Warren league-Warren and Fed Hock. Both games had people missing. Came back later and beat both.

Coaches are doing a rotation of 3-4 minutes. No matter who is in they all have the ability to play.

The bench is deep this year with 10-11 girls able to step in at any time. The freshman class has a lot of girls who may see some playing time.

I have no predictions for the future but they are one of the quickest teams I have seen in a while. Defense looks solid too.

Results from Marietta college shootout.
Went 6-0 in regular games. Beating John Glenn(, 35-6)Marietta (50-15), Garaway (41-10), Meadowbrook (42-21), East Fairmont ( 39-31), and bishop watterson ( 31-26).
Went 4-0 in O.T tournament (4 minute game). Beating nort Marion (7-2), Fairland (7-4), fisher catholic (10-3), and Strasburg (8-3).

My observation: Fort will be good. They will play a tough schedule which should help them come tournament time. Getting out districts is gonna be tough this year. With no seniors, the new coaches should have the same team for the next couple years.
