Waterford Lady Cats Basketball

Post by Gregg811 »

Hey all, basically two weeks till the scrimage with Warren. What do you think about the up coming season? The schedule is very tough but coach will have these girls ready for anything. I think the Lady Cats will take the Title again this year. Anyway lets hear some chatter, The season is almost here.

Good luck Sat Lady Cats...I don't know much about Westfall, but Oak hill will be good competion...The lady cats will be young this year, but if years past is any indication coach will have these girls ready for what ever...alot of these girls played AAU ball over the summer etc...the schedule will not be an easy one...kept an eye on Soph Sina King, she could be the key to how far these girls go when it comes tournament time...

King

I watched King play a little in the spring, she did well.

I like Waterford's schedule, they should be well-prepared come tournament time. Hope they can by Africentric, which shouldn't be a D-IV for much longer.

Best of luck to Britany Brown and Jessi Drayer along with the others at Waterford this year.

Good Luck this year to Waterford!

Should be another great year. Looked pretty good today. Should be another trip to at least the district finals. Should be some good games if it comes down to you, Valley and South Webster

But that is a long way off.

I'll add one team to MOF's list...Whiteoak, as they return 4 of their 5 starters from last year's team that took Waterford to the very end of the district finals.

9-0 for 2007
2008 looks good for the lady cats.
Thursday's game with Eastern won't be much of a tune up for Fort Frye on Saturday.
Waterford beats Eastern 78-25
Waterford by 30 plus at half.

Saturday will be a little tougher match the second time around at Fort Frye.
Waterford pulls away in 2nd quarter & takes lead to 20 in 3rd .

The Morgan and Marietta games in the Holiday tournament was great experience for the Lady Cats. These are the kind of games the Lady Cats need outside of the conference to be prepared for tournament time. Great weekend Lady Cats. Continue to work hard because Classic in the Country is just around the corner. Take it one game at a time. Work on your defensive pressure, getting everyone in the flow of the game, etc. Lets take it to the Eastern Eagles on thursday night.

Looks like Waterford needs to play some tougher teams to get ready for state touney, like Marietta atleast they are a D2 team. The talent that Waterford has now doesn't come along all the time, It would be nice for them to play harder teams now and get ready for a state run.
