Nice touch by North Adams AD Chris Young to allow the girls to cut down the net at the HS, following a police/fire escort through town, since they were not allowed to at Valley.

No net cutting in Rock Hill today but then that is what they have done as long as I have been attending that sectional (about 15 years.)

Northwest has always allowed the nets to be cut down after Sectional Tournament Championship games. Glad to hear they continued on with that this year even though the OHSAA came down with the no net cutting ruling this year. Nice job, Frantzie!!

The Adena AD allowed the winners of that sectional to cut down the nets also. A very much appreciated gesture by the fans of Unioto and McClain, I'm sure.

What's up with New Lex being allowed to cut down the nets after their sectional win @ Alex., but not Warren?

I made a similar comment on the Boys Basketball forum. I was a little frustrated with the fact that the boys were allowed to cut the nets down last night at Waverly. I think it is great that they were allowed. They should have been allowed, but the girls were not allowed at Lucasville. I think Lucasville should be ashamed of themselves for not doing it for the girls. From the sounds of it, Lucasville was one of the very few tournament sites around the area that did not allow nets to be cut down.

I was told it was up to the administrators at the site. Jackson had no problem with replacing the $10 net after each championship game.

If it was only about money, that's ridiculous! I would have pulled $10 out of my own wallet just so the girls could have had that opportunity to cut the net down in Lucasville. I know a couple hundred more people from NA that would have done the same thing.
