This kind of leads me back to the schedule. If they want to play up tempo, I think that is good. But if you have a weak schedule then you probably can't work on that much. a) if you are running on a team that is not as talented, then you really don't know how effective your transition is. b) are you going to continue to run once you get up by 15-20? From what I have heard, the new coach has more class than to run up scores on bad teams to make herself look like a good coach. But again, I do believe they can be a dangerous team and I think they are better suited for an up tempo game.

I 100% agree with all u said. Once they get up by 20, they'll go to a half court defense. And I don't think they'll take there foot off the accelerator. They wont "slow down" the game. There going to continue playing there "get it out and go" offense the whole game, regardless of the score (thats from my ovservstion). Even if there up 20-25 points

Fort frye will scrimmage at Strasburg Wednesday. They will play Strasburg, McKinley, Smithville, and west branch. All games will be 16 minute running clock. Marietta will be there as well, but Fort wont play them

How did their scrimmage go? Strasburg will be down a bit but still should be fairly good. Smithville and West Branch are steady good.

Beat Mckinley 21-12. Lost to Strausburg 13-8. Tied west branch 15 all. Beat Smithville 14-8. Bc the Jv played too, Fort only kept 6 girls for the varsity. Games were 16 minutes with running clock. Played McKinley first then Strausburg right after with no break ( Strausburg had a break). Girls were definitely getting tired against Strausburg. Then fort sat a game and played west branch and Smithville back to back. Overall perception is Fort will be good. Should win 75% of games this year. No seniors on the team but 2 of the 4 juniors were starters since there freshman year. Learning a whole new defense and offense and at times you could tell they are still getting comfortable with the new coaches. They want to play up tempo and get more shots up. They want to score points. Not have games where they only score in the 20's or 30's.

Fort Frye will be good, no doubt. With that schedule they have a shot to go undefeated - they don't play a strong team where they would not be a favorite or even a toss up game. They lone exception could be someone in their league tournament (are they in the same division as Union Local) but that would be it. Maybe one loss but two losses would be a shock so they should win 95-100% of their games. Is the TSL dissolved? I did not see Point Pleasant on their schedule.

I think TSL is done. Or at least point left it after football. Not sure Marietta, Warren and fort keep it going with only 3 teams.

Fort scrimmage Zanesville Saturday and looked pretty good. Still working through some bumps on offense ( new coach, new offense) but all and all it was a good showing for the Lady Cadets. They will have their final scrimmage Wednesday at beverly vs Fisher Catholic and Philo. Don't know much about either team so hopefully it'll be some good competition. First game is a week from Saturday vs federal hocking at the clash at the coliseum. Cadets will start the season with some very good competiton.

First game down for the Lady cadets as they beat federal hocking Saturday at "the clash at the coliseum ". Final score 57-43. 5 cadets eneded the game in double digital scoring. Takeaway from this game is fort has multiple players that can score. They pushed the temp. New coaches, faster tempo. Play marietta tonite. Tigers have the height advantage ( which every team will have) but I feel like the cadets have just top many players that can score and I don't think mariettas defense can stop em. I do believe the tigers will keep it close.

Fort gets there 2nd win of the season beating marietta 48-30.
Fort missed a lot of open shots or this game could of been worse. Out sized but didn't matter. This Cadets team is gonna be fun to watch this year. Next up is belpre Wednesday. No jv game vs belpre, varsity only.

That's a nice start for the Cadets! Those are some of the better teams in the area and they have pretty comfortably beat each of them, very impressive.

The Lady Cadets start the season with 8 games in 16 days. They have already beaten belpre, Marietta and Federal hocking. Still have Linsly, west muskingum, newcomerstown, parkersburg catholic and wheeling central catholic. Still have some very good teams to play in the next 8 day. Not to mention they will play laurel h.s (Shaker heights) @ the river city classic at marietta college. Laurel is a d4 school that just beat hiland by almost 20. Forts schedule isn't an easy one that's for sure. Plus they only have 7 home games, which puts them at 15 away games. Needless to say I believe they'll be tournament ready when that time comes

I am high on Fort Frye's team but those are not very good games coming up. The lone exception could be the Wheeling Central game but I am not even convinced of that. Laurel will be a good matchup and I think that is the only game on the year that they would not be a heavy favorite in. I would be surprised if they have any other game be less than a double digit win. Not knocking the team or the coaches but being realistic on this schedule which i don't believe will make them tournament tested. Respect your vantage point and maybe I am wrong about these other teams so we will see. Its a shame Union Local dropped them because I think that would have been a good game. Still think they can (and root for them to) make a final four run.

I get your point. And respect it. I guess I look at there schedule and see a lot of teams with potential. For instance

Shenandoah will be tough bc the leach girl is very good and fort has no one that matches up well with her

Warren gonna be tough bc the peeper girl is the real deal and has some nice pecies around her.

Parkersburg catholic I heard got a couple girls that transfered in from south and they are way better than they have been.

Marietta was a close game pretty much all the way though until late in 3rd.

Federal hocking ( which we already beat once) is gonna be tough bc we play them at there gym and the final score doesn't do justice to just how close that game was.

I hope your right and thses games that have me worried aren't gonna be much of a game at all. With no seniors on this team they are definitely gonna be fun to watch the next couple years. And hopefully they can make a return trip to the final four.
