I have witnessed literal interruptions of the school day for an athlete to give autographs! (This was not a female). I say keep them humble!

Coach it sounds like you are doing a good job keeping them "humble". Don't see that being an issue after what I saw the other day, appeared to handle themselves very well.

I had the pleasure of watching the Alexander girls play Waren this weekend. This was a great early season match up. I would say both teams will put a run for a district championship.

Alexander is very deep and can really shoot the ball. They were a pleasure to watch. Keep it up girls.

Go Alex.

Just curious if any teams besides the Athens girls have this as a requirement to play their sport?
I can't see how they can require something like this to play a HS sport!

I have been very impressed with Alexander's depth. Everyone knows about Leah Richardson and she is the glue that holds it all together, but there are some really good players.

Go Alex.

Saw where Athens played the 6 time defending state champ Huntington St Joe. A team that beat Eastern when they won state. Kind of a mismatch

You do not build a program by playing patsies! Sometimes you must step out of your box and challenge yourself. Big kudos for taking this challenge on when others run from such an opportunity.

Their coach wasn't happy about playing that gamegame. He thought they were matched up with a different St Joe's team lol

It's not like they went out and scheduled this game lol

I believe they beat Eastern by a point in that game. It might have even been in overtime. I would like to have seen them play a second time at Eastern that year.

Two to years removed from a state championship and easterns coach looks clueless. They return their entire team from last year but are somehow worse . Playing 12 girls including multiple freshmen and a girl who has never played the game? SMH!

Too bad that eastern team didn't play Athens. That preview game was really good. Athens size vs Eastern's skill. Maybe a TVC Ohio vs Hocking day of champions if the Ohio adds a couple members

It didn't work well when the SEOAL did it, so I don't ever want to see the TVC try it.
