Congrats to Circleville on winning the District Championship over Vinton County and moving on to the Regional Semifinals. Also to Coach Steve Kalinoski of Circleville for being selected District 14 Div 2 Coach of the year.

Haters gonna hate! Best coach in the area, with Coach Coalgrove from Warren. Those two get it done!!!!
I also think that if the Best Coach in the Area is being mentioned, that possibly Coach Doug Hale of Oak Hill maybe should be considered, as he has taken his OH teams to at least 3 State Championship Games.

A 4 point 2nd quarter killed VC. Great season girls. The future is still bright with a lot of underclassmen in this group.

What’s the incoming class look like? Lot of new comers?

Not sure about who is coming up, but we are really only losing one starter/contributor. A LOT of talent coming back

There is another Bentley. Ashley, and she is six foot tall. However, she needs to develop.

I felt good after the first quarter. The Vikings were down 3, but gave up 8 points on 2 off boards and 2 50/50 balls. But then, the second quarter happened. Had a couple of threes rattled in and out, missed a couple of easy lay-ups and Circleville went into efficiency mode, scoring with the McConnell girl and knocking down two open threes. That 16-4 second quarter was it. After all, the Vikings played the Tigers pretty much even in the second half, losing it 28-27. The Tigers did an incredible job controlling the pace of the game. They do look like a final four team.

So, our third year in a row coming up short. However, still young, still talented, maybe we can get there again. But if we lose for a fourth time, do we become the Buffalo Bills?

Great season ladies! We will be seeing you soon.

First year: Vinton County was nowhere near as good as they are this year (and last year)
Second year: Team of mostly freshmen comes up short in a very tight game that they had control of most of the game
Third year: Run into the number one friggin team in the state that is majority seniors (although the best player was a junior)

Fourth times the charm? I hope so.

I was at that game rooting whole heartily for Vinton County. You could have Bobby knight and John wooden coaching and Vinton County would still be in trouble... The size of circeville was just to much and the Vikings could not turn them over . I think we just watched the 2020 d2 state champs

VC might just be getting a gift. And she'll solve the issue of no size to match up with the opponents bigs.
