I know NB is a very small school and you are playing teams in your conference and your size....but do you think they would benefit from playing a little tougher schedule come tourney time?

They'll breeze thru the sectionals....but facing Adena, Whiteoak, South Webster or Waterford will be tough as they play a tougher schedule and have been challenged by their schedule.

Best of luck though....will see you at Jackson for the Districts!

You are correct. New Boston is the smallest public school in the Southeast District. Every team they play has a higher enrollment, with the exception of Portsmouth Notre Dame and Ironton St. Joseph. Much of their schedule is within the league, however they have scheduled five games with Division III schools, Southeastern Ross; Coal Grove Dawson Bryant, home and away,Chesapeake away and West Union. It just so happens that most of the league is down this year and the non conference schedule was a mystery. That is something that cannot be predicted from year to year. The rematch at Portsmouth Clay is always a tough game and I know that the game at Coal Grove and Chesapeake will be a challenge. The Lady Tigers are truly a team. They will take one game at a time and do their very best each outing. Last year they sort of came out of no where to win the league after they were not even mentioned in the mix for the championship. This year they know what they have to do and I hope you are correct in saying, we will see you in Jackson.

************Great News!***************************************

Glenwood's Mychael Hamilton has been released from the hospital after an injury in the West Union game. She suffered a severe neck sprain. Take a day at a time and get better!

West Union's Samantha Frost suffered a high ankle sprain in the same game and is doing better.

Good to hear that these injuries were not as severe as previously thought!

Just looking at the New Boston schedule I can't help but wonder what happened at Clay? Did New Boston have injured or sick players? Cannot figure this one out!

The Tigers were not the better team that night. They were never able to get into their style of play and Clay contained most everything the Tigers tried. Clay has a fine team also and outplayed New Boston that night.

No doubt Clay was on their game. There is alot of talent on that team, height, speed, shooting, etc. Tourmament is going to be real interesting this year. Good luck to all.
