Logan led 21-7 after one quarter and cruised to the non-league victory at Newark.
Chelsea Rice led Newark (0-2) with 8 points. Olivia Bybee and Tandra Spivey added 7 points each.
Logan (3-0) made 4 3-pointers and was 15-of-19 from the free-throw line.

Jackson 37 Gallipolis 33

Visiting Jackson rallied from a 11-4 first period deficit to down the GAHS Blue Angels in the SEOAL South Division opener for both schools.

Gallipolis dropped to 1-1 overall while Jakson improved to 2-0.

Gallipolis won the reserve game, 37-35.
