New West Girls Coach ??

General, that is a pretty poor attitude to have, considering the girl's in middle school at West have a winning program going already.

yes they did great..but you have to put the work in all summer long for the next 4-5years or these teams pass you by..me personally i would like to see coach triplett take the job so his daughter will stay at west..i know coach phillips talked very highly of her by saying she couldve played varsity ball this year

From what I hear, West did not make a favorable decision in choosing this candidate, if it is true if he was hired!

Greg coaches in the Pee Wee program at West and is coaching the 6th grade girls team along with a couple other gentlemen, Brian Howard and a Ridout man. All of them do a good job with that group of young girls. Greg has been instrumental in taking these younger girls places to play against some good competition. I'm sure he will do the same thing with these older girls as well.

Greg is also involved with coaching one of the Southern Ohio Magic AAU 11u teams. He has as much experience as anybody that probably applied for this coaching job and will bring a lot of enthusiasm to this position. Good luck Coach Maynard!!

When are the open gyms for this group? How are they doing?

So what is up with this...no one knows the answers? How is West doing? When are the open gyms? I heard this new coach has a girl on the team...is that correct?

I don't think the new head coach has a daughter on the high school team. He does have a daughter that will be in the 7th grade this year and she is a very nice player. West has a very good overall group of 7th grade basketball players.
