Top Teams in the SE District

Post by Ironman92 »

Who are they?

Teams somewhere near the top: Jackson, Oak Hill, Waterford

Maybe next: Eastern Meigs, Logan Elm, Marietta

Very good so far: Logan, Warren, North Adams, Peebles

Athens, Portsmouth, Portsmouth West and Unioto

Who are the other teams that are doing well?

I believe Notre Dame and Piketon should be mentioned somewhere in there, for sure Piketon. Maybe Valley too.

How can you leave Nelsonville York off that list? They need to be on there somewhere.

Why do you think I listed the teams that I knew were good and then asked Who else? I'm not savvy on all 70 SE District teams. I know nothing of NY.

NY is 4-3.....lost at home to Wellston, got beat by double digits by Athens and Zane Trace? With wins over the weaker TVC Hocking teams? I doubt they are better than Chillicothe or Lynchburg Clay and I didn't mention them.

Nelsonville seems to be doing a little less than what I thought.

Lets not kid ourselves....Oak Hill is even a rung above the top level in this area.As painful as that is for me to admit. But it's true..

I know they typically square off over the summer but the gym would be overflowing for a Jackson/Oak Hill matchup. Would love to see it. Jackson's coach being a former Lady Oak star would add to the intrigue.

It's a shame Fayetteville has to play in the southwest. They would be right there with Oak Hill in our area.

Can Fayetteville get out of the SW District? They are steam rolling SHL teams as much as Waterford and Eastern Meigs are TVC Hocking teams.

Adena blasted Piketon a week or so ago, I'd include them.

Miami Trace has a top notch program, they keep losing stars and keep winning games.

Since then Logan Elm has lost twice.

Unioto has proven very good.

Jackson is 9-0

Portsmouth is 7-3

Oak Hill is whipping about everyone.

Waterford lost by 1 to a Fort Frye team that lost to Oak Hill by 10

Logan seems like they might be a top 5 team.

Jackson will play Logan, Warren and Unioto in their next 3 games....tough and telling stretch.

Miami Trace is 8-1...is playing better in every game
Washington Court House is 7-1, has a pretty good team. they beat MT 34-33 early in the season.
