Eastern has too much size. Combine that with having the best player in the league. I'll take eastern

Drayer and Emily Brown are no slouches - it should be another classic between two awesome programs.

Where is that list from GREGG811?

EASTERN VS WATERFORD

I'm thinking about heading over to Waterford to take in one of these Wildcat/Eagles rivalry games ... Ive been saying for awhile now that I wanted to see these two teams face off against each other in the regular season - tonight seems as good as any other night I guess.

Waterford question:

If you lived in Waterford and we're to drive to lets say Athens High School - would you take Rt. 550 or head over to the highway and come down 50? Which is faster or easier?

Thx

I think that's the higher ranking ever for an Eastern team

Should be a great game between two great programs!!!! I just hope that Easterns deep run in volleyball doesnt hinder them... But i know Coach B will have them ready to play!!! Good Luck to both!!!

93: I think it 6 of one and 1/2 dozen of the other as far as 50/550. You'll probably make up a little time going 50. Make sure you go to Waterford Elem's Cooper (on SR339) for the game and not the HS. Some folks who have never been get that confused. Enjoy the game and Go Cats!

Swatzel out for eastern. That's a big blow going in to this game

Ah man - what a bummer ... Injuries are something you don't see a whole lot of in high school basketball - I really wanted to see both teams at full capacity.

What kind of production are we looking at in terms of not having Swatzel Super Trooper? She is a starter correct? Is she a center, forward, guard? Is she a scoring threat? I mean, you used the phrase 'big blow' ... How big you think? Can Eastern still go into Waterford and win tonight?

She was a center. Rebounding will be hurt a little but we still have a 6'1" center playing. It will hurt a little bit but it will be a guard vs guard matchup. I'd have to give the edge to Waterford without Swatzel this game unless Burdette explodes.

Oh 93 you still have to attend and see some of the best basketball in SE Ohio. Both teams are strong and capable. Plus if you've never seen either team play, you're in for a treat. Safe travels.

I followed all their tournament games last year ... Got to see them right here in my backyard for the sectionals and then watched all the games at the Convo.

I have just never seen them play each other ... I did however cover a girls game in Waterford once (when I was at the Messenger) ... I watched Federal Hocking (with Iris Butcher) take on the Wildcats (with Sina King) ... Definitly a cool atmosphere down their and fun to watch a game!

I will for sure be their tonight taking photos for the trivalleyconference.com web site.
